I woke up to the smell of coffee and a raging headache. I groggily opened my eyes to see Dot holding two coffee cups under our noses. Not a bad wake up. I took both cups from her hands and set Lila's on the coffee table for when she was ready. She was going to have a terrible hangover, poor thing. "Thank you, Dot," I said in a gravelly voice.
"You silly gooses are not in good graces today." She sighed.
"Uh oh. Give it to me straight, doc." I winced.
"Well the Handler found you last night and, well, you both are getting suspended for two weeks." Her red lipstick formed a frown.
"Are you kidding me!" I whisper-shouted.
"'Fraid not." Gill sat sideways on the couch with his legs dangling over its arm rest.
Lila woke up to the commotion and shielded her eyes from the light with her hand. "Oh hey, Doty, Guppy." I handed her her coffee. "So what's happening?"
"We are apparently getting suspended for two weeks," I growled.
"Two weeks! You're joking," she shouted, then immediately regretted it and plopped her head back down on a pillow with a groan.
"It's true," Dot said. I let out an aggravated sigh and took a sip of my coffee.
"It could be a plus though if you think about it this way. You guys are both really hungover right now and it gives you some time to recoup?" The three of us narrowed our eyes at her. She had a valid point but this is what we loved doing. There was no plus side to this for us. Gill understood this well too.
"Oh, 'n Ron, you're bleedin' on the couch," he told me in a monotone voice with a smirk.
I looked down to see the untreated bullet wound in my thigh. "So that's why mah leg hurts," I said in a muffled voice to myself.
He snickered. "Prolly, yeah."
"You were most likely too drunk last night to feel the full effect but once the alcohol leaves your system you're gonna be in a lottta pain so I'd recommend getting to the medical room down the hall before then," Dot advised.
"Richt. Thanks, Dot." I faked a smile and immediately dropped it when she turned around. "Ah feel like death."
"I did die." Lila buried her face into her arm.
I huffed and looked down at my leg that was seeping blood every time I moved. I'd been getting a little light headed but I blamed it on the hangover. "Ah should prolly take her advice though."
"Here, let me help you." Lila put my arm around her neck and shifted my weight onto her like I did for her the other night and we left for the med room. We didn't make it far before we both stumbled and fell then went into a frenzy of laughs at our clumsiness.
"Here, let me help you." Gilligan put me and Lila's arms around him and helped us both walk.

Five had been stranded in the future apocalypse for over forty-five years now today.
—————
He squinted his eyes into the distance as he saw a figure approaching. Is that—? "Bonnie? Bonnie! You're back! You're finally back!" They locked eyes, eyes that he never thought he'd see again, so full of joy and warmth, his love's eyes. They sprinted towards one another until they collided into each other's arms in a suffocatingly tight hug. "I missed you so so so so much. More than you could ever imagine. Never ever do that again."
He laughed with an unfathomable joy. Five took his love's face in his hands and stroked her curly red hair, reassuring himself that it really was his Bonnie after all of these years in solitude. It seemed too good to be true.
