"Happy birthday." Gilligan yawned and ruffled his bedhead.

"And happy birthday to ye too." I kissed him on the cheek then got up to open the curtain, lighting up the dark room. "The old man's gonna start gathering th' Academy up today. Almost wish Ah could do something about it, but none of us would've met if Ah did." I sat back down on the bed and ran my hand through his hair.

"Can't have that." He smiled then pulled me back into his warmth.

"Aye, Ah kinda enjoy being married to you." I smirked. "Ready to meet your family shortly? We can head over to the Academy any time now. We can't stay here in Inverness anymore with mah Mum and mah other self who's gonna be born in a few short hours. Paradox whatnot—" Gill snored. I huffed and flipped him on the head. "Were you even listening?"

Gill rubbed his eye and sat up. "Yeah, yeah, I'm up. You're right. Give it a few days for him to gather up our information?"

"Aye. We can spend a couple days in the city. Get a hotel. I've got a feeling that things have changed a bit since we were last there." We grinned.

"Prolly." He chuckled. "What was it? 1964?"

"After th' Beatles concert."

"How could I forget?" He smiled as he played with my hair.

"Wouldn't surprise me given the fact that all you could think aboot wis leaving." I chortled.

"Hey, I was just really excited to finally see your hometown. Also, I was totally right about coming here. Living here with you has been the shiznaz." The two of us smiled into a kiss.

I folded up a blanket. "Ready to go?" Gilligan stuck out his arm. I took it and we made headway for the car.

"I am so glad that they make planes pressurized again." I sat back into the blue cushioned seat. Gill touched his hand to mine and looked away as he had the first time we rode a plane together in 1925. I laughed then tucked his hair behind his ear in a replica of the memory. "Are you trying tae hold my hand?"

My husband held my eye contact with a smirk. Something he couldn't do back then without his face turning beet red. It was adorable how he still fought it after all these years. "I just figured your hand was cold 'cause of the altitude, 'n your hands are always ice."

I lightly chuckled as I rolled my brown eyes then held his hand. "Better?"

"Much." We giggled.

"You're such a dork." I tittered some more.

"Well I'm your dork."

"That you are." We leaned in for a kiss.

"I remember being so nervous the first time we flew together," he reminisced with a goofy look on his face.

I furrowed my eyebrows with amusement at his slightly pinking face. "Why's that?"

He tenderly sighed. "You."

"Am I that scary?" I chuckled.

"My feelings for you were. If I told my past self that I love you more now than I did then, there's no way I would've believed it," Gilligan said with a smitten grin.
