"aye aye maam- come here" a guy in a dark corner whispered

i ignored him and kept walking

soon though i felt a crusty hand grip my shoulder forcing me to turn around

"what?!" i hissed, the angry in my voice evident

he held up his hand and grinned, his yellow teeth blinding me

"you just looked sad. i have something to make all that pain go away" he breathed

his breath smelt like shit and i didnt try to keep that off my face as i stared at him

"no thanks" i said and turned around

i grunted as he twisted around

"it helps, i promise. whats wrong? heart break? cheater boyfriend?"

"no,mother in a coma and has a 35% rate of surviving" i said blandly

"shit..." his eyes widen and he looked down in his fanny pack that was around his thin hips

who even wears those anymore?

he pulled out a thick blue pill.

"this helps. i promise. makes you numb as shit"

i looked at it, my thoughts running a mile a minute

"real shit?" i asked

i was actually considering this

he grinned.

"real as fuck man. and best part, it aint addictive. this shit taste so bad you'll never wanna taste it again but the way it makes you feel might make you want it" he shrugged

"alright give me about ten" i said and dug in my pocket for some change.

i always kept some on me no matter what

"you got ten family members who need this?" he asked with a raised brow

"you want it or not?" i held up the twenty i pulled out

"make it thirty" he grinned

i dug in my purse for a ten and grabbed it.

he snatched up the bills and placed the pills in my hand

"thanks" i walked away without another word

aiden pov

"charlotte has been in there for a long time" i mused

she's been in there for about two hours and i know her momma is in a coma but im worried.

"well her mama is in a coma"

"oh wow, i didnt know thank you so much scarlet" i said sarcastically

she rolled her eyes

"asshole" she muttered

"say it louder" i raised a brow

"leave me alone, aiden" scarlet grumbled

i huffed and leaned back in my chair but sat up when i saw a nurse coming closer

"excuse me miss" i said sweetly

she stopped and looked at me. a smile pulled across her plump lips. "yes?"

"my girlfriend has been in that room for a while because of her mom. im just worried but im not family so i cant go in. can you please check on her?"

"oh sure" she walked away to the door and disappeared into the room

"girlfriend huh" scarlet teased and bumped my shoulder

i glared at her. "stop, im a asshole remember?"

"i meant i like to fuck your asshole" she grinned

there was a clear of a throat and i looked up. the nurse was standing there with a uncomfortable look on her face. i glanced at scarlet; her cheeks were red

i chuckled. "sorry about that. how is she?"

"um.. she's not in there. only the mother. i hope i helped" she smiled awkwardly before walking away

i looked at scarlet confused. "we didnt see her go and to go to the bathroom she has to pass us"

scarlet gulped. "she mustve snuck out while we were talking"

we shot to our feet

"come on, she's a grieving woman who's emotions are strong right now. we dont know what she could be doing right now" i hissed

charlotte pov

i dropped three of the pills in my mouth and swallowed some liquor after it. it was disgusting but alcohol mixed with pills did the job

just like the guy said, the pills were disgusting and i had to swallow hard to not throw up

i took three more, gulp of alcohol, three more, gulp of alcohol

i looked at the last pill sitting between my fingers

your doing everyone a favor considering this. is. your. fault.

the voice in my head screamed and with a tear rolling down my face, i swallowed the pill and finished the last bit of alcohol
