Chapter 6

Eddie's P.O.V
Everyone gathered around Dustin, Steve and I. Making sure to make room for wolf space and wing space, they all bunched around us, like we were performing on a stage and they were the audience, hell some of them even had popcorn, El and mike shared eggo waffles together. "Ok Dustin, first things first, just your normal form. Like your fangs, ears, ect ect. Just watch me and Steve." I said. He nodded and watched as Steve and I got all of our features. Claws and fangs growing, our tails sprouting from our lower backs, ears pointing, and an all too familiar red lens covering my eyes. I did a mock bow to the others, earning an applause, and a few laughs. "Now your turn Dustin. Try and focus on getting everything out." Steve said to the young monster. He nodded and focused. His nails grew into claws, teeth growing into sharp fangs, his ears pointed and both of his tails sprouted from his lower back. He looked up to us, one eye glowing red and one eye glowing yellow. "Holy shit...that is incredible! I've never seen anything like it." Lucas said from the couch, praising Dustin, earning a round of applause from everyone else. He sarcastically bowed like me, earning a smirk and a thumbs up from me. "Now for the second lesson. Willing your wings out." I announced.

I cleared a little more space for the wingspans. "Alright, all you wanna do, is focus on your wings expanding. Imagine them appearing from your back. Just concentrate." I explained. I demonstrated first, I willed my wings out and stretched them out to their full size. Dustin examined every small thing I did, so he copied my movements and my instructions. Then within a second a pair of wings appeared from his back, smaller than mine, about 3 feet each. Unlike mine which was 6 feet each. Everyone stared in awe, Dustin did too. "Holy shit! There is fur on the top of them. Like along the bone structure. That's amazing." He said mesmerised. I crossed my arms in agreement. "I'll teach you how to fly later, right now isn't that good of an idea since we are inside." I said rationally. "Now for you to focus on becoming a wolf." Steve said. Dustin nodded and willed his wings away, I did the same.

"All you wanna do is focus on getting bigger in size. Imagine your inner wolf coming to life, and just follow my lead like you did for Eddie ok?" He explained. Dustin nodded. Steve closed his eyes and grew, his fur sprouting everywhere all over his skin, his face enlarged and paws replaced his hands and feet. His ears moved to the top of his head and became furry. Not gonna lie, it's always mesmerising to see him transform like that. Once he opened his eyes they glowed a bright yellow. "Woah, that's insane!" Lucas exclaimed. "Yeah! Shit that is incredible." Mike pitched in. Steve's tail started to sway proudly. Dustin went up to the wolf, asking to pet him, Steve complied and he nestled his muzzle underneath Dustin's arm. "Heh, he's like a big puppy." He said. I burst out into laughter, earning a yellow eyed glare from Steve. "Goddamn it Harrington you can't help but be a big ol puppy. I told ya. it's adorable!" I remarked. Steve gently poked Dustin with his muzzle, it took a second to understand what he was saying, but we eventually analysed that he wanted Henderson to try it now. He nodded and closed his eyes, and after a minute he grew slowly, fur sprouting all over him, face enlarged and paws replaced his hands and feet. He opened his eyes and they were the same, one yellow, one red.

Everyone looked in awe. Me included. He had dark brown fur all over the front half of his body, but the hind legs and tail were exactly like my wings, it had a smooth texture and the cutoff was seem-less, barely any signs of stray patches that looked blotchy. It's like the fur just connected with the smooth texture perfectly. He was much smaller than Steve, almost a full head smaller, Steve looked at him with astonishment, and as if on instinct he started to circle around the young wolf. Like a mother wolf would to her cub. He nuzzled Dustin's snout proudly, Henderson seemed confused at first but eventually gave in to the wolf hug. In Dustin's wolf form he only had one tail, and it was like mine, long and smooth, not to contrast the rest of the smooth texture, but it still wagged like a dogs tail anyways. "Hey! Ya know what? Dustin kinda looks like a hellhound. You know, those demon dogs from hell? Um no offence Dustin." Lucas analysed. Dustin whimpered a little bit but Steve nuzzled him in reassurance, Lucas getting a small snarl from Steve. Lucas did a small squeal but quickly apologised.

"Ok ok, I think that's enough for one night, Steve why don't you teach Dustin how to turn back, preferably with your clothes on." Nancy said. The wolf nodded and closed his eyes, his frame shrinking, his hands and feet returning, his face returned to normal and he stood up from the ground, fully clothed. He got another applause from the others, doing a small bow. He walked over to a whimpering wolf Dustin. "It's alright Henderson, you can do it, I know it's scary but just focus on becoming yourself again." He said softly. Dustin nodded his wolfy head and closed his eyes. Within a few minutes he was himself again. He ran up to Steve and hugged him, he got his tail out and pulled me in too, I laughed remembering that's exactly how we were reunited the first time. "Thankyou, both of you, I would be completely lost without you guys helping me." He said in between sobs. Steve and I looked at him softly, patting his head in reassurance. "It's ok kid, anytime." Steve said. "Yeah Henderson, you have much more to learn, but for now. Your welcome." I said dramatically, getting a couple laughs.

After a couple more conversations everyone decided it was time to go home, not wanting to worry anyone, and after everyone else left it was just me, Steve and Dustin. "So how you feeling kid? Ya doing ok?" I asked kindly. Henderson nodded. "Yeah, yeah I think so. I'm just scared that Vecna's gonna come and get me, or whatever, I just don't want to hurt anyone." He said scared. Steve and I shared a worried look. "It's ok, we feel the exact same way, neither of us knows what will happen, let alone what Vecna has in mind. But whatever it is we won't let him get to us." Steve said. Dustin smiled at us both. "You know, when dustin was in his wolf form Steve, your kinda like his mother, like a mother wolf protecting her cub." I joked. That got a laugh from Dustin and an annoyed glare at the both of us from Steve. "What? Am I not allowed to be protective over the kids?" He quipped. I was about to speak up when a voice over the walkie on the kitchen counter interrupted us. It was Sinclair, Lucas Sinclair."GUYS! I know it's super late notice but that's cause I literally just found out, it's Max. She's...she's awake."
