Chapter 16

Eddie's P.O.V

One month later

Everything was going smoothly. We took care of Vecna for now and we were able to stay as monsters. It still confuses me that Dustin got to stay one after his possession unlike Steve, since I got to keep mine after being possessed cause I basically died. But we came to a collective agreement that it was probably because he was both a vampire and a werewolf so he got that booster power. I had finally graduated high school after two years, the gang had a front row seat and they were cheering my name as I snatched that diploma, I flipped principal Higgins the bird and ran off stage, earning laughter from the gang in the front row. Lucas became the new captain of the basketball team and he still had time for D&D, Steve and I were still planning our wedding, it's illegal to be married in our circumstances but we didn't care, one day we would and that was all that mattered. Nancy broke it up with Johnathan in a mutual understanding and a couple weeks later she got with Robin. Max was improving and started her rehab to start walking again, so far she's gotten pretty far, we are all so proud of her. I managed to get a job with Robin and Steve at the Family Video store. That leads us to the present day, the day of the monthly full moon, aka Dustin's first one.

I was working at the counter of the video store, sorting out the tapes with Robin, Steve was in the back room sorting out the new shipments of tapes. "Hey rob?" I said to Robin as I was sorting out tapes. "Yeah Eds?" She replied confused, she looked up from her tapes and looked in my direction. "I just wanted to say thanks for not telling anyone that you knew I was gay. You know, before I told Steve." I said sincerely. She smiled. "It's ok, takes a freak to know a freak right?" She remarked smirking, I laughed lightly. "I mean you made it fairly obvious with that bandana sticking out of your pocket." I looked down to my jeans and saw the black bandana I usually wore as an accessory, I felt my cheeks get hot a little bit. Robin laughed. "Well it's a good fashion statement, besides, Steve's too clueless to even know what it means." I said with a smirk, earning a knowing laugh from Robin. Then right on time Steve entered the main room. "What are you guys talking about, I could hear you from in there." He said his hands on his hips. "Yeah well we could hear you from in there, really Steve? ABBA? And here I thought you had taste." I playfully replied, earning yet another laugh from Robin. "Hey they have very catchy songs!" He countered. "Yeah very catchy, so how is it going back there? 'Super trouper?'" Robin quipped. I let out a howl of laughter. "Oh shut up Buckley! And I'm usually the one who howls around here Munson." He remarked. We all shared a collective round of laughter and got back to our jobs after some talking.

After a few hours of more work, serving customers and seeing girls flirt with Steve and fighting the urge to rip their throats out, our shift had ended. "Is Nance picking you up again Rob?" Steve asked curiously. Robin nodded. "Yep! Plus I need to lock up tonight since you did it last night Ed's." She gestured to me. I smiled in thanks, then a couple seconds later a car pulled into the driveway, revealing a head of short, curly brown hair and blue eyes. Nancy approached us. "Hey guys, and hi rob." She said happily. Robin smiled and planted a small kiss on Nancy's lips. "Hi Nance, I have to lock up tonight, do you mind waiting?" Robin asked her lover. "Of course! I don't mind, I can even help you if you'd like." She answered, robin smiled in appreciation. "And you tell us to get a room." Steve sarcastically remarked. Robin just smirked. "Come on Stevie, we'd better go, Henderson will be coming over soon for us to help him through the moon tonight." I said reasonably, he nodded in response. "How are you guys even getting home? Your car isn't here Steve." Nancy asked confused. I smirked to steve, his face only grew in confusion. "Oh it's only a flight away." I quipped. "Wait wait hold on-!" Steve started but I cut him off carrying him bridal style and willed my wings out, taking off into the sunset with a worried steve complaining to me, as for Robin and Nancy I could hear them laughing from the ground below us.
