'Do forgive me Lady Crowe.' I faked a smile.'it was never my intention to disrespect you.'

'I have disturbing news for you all , I recieved today's paper and the front page depicts horrible news.'

Lady Crowe gently placed the newspaper on the table , but I did nit hesitate to take it earing a huff from Mrs Crowe.

GIRL IN CLOAK RAIDS LORD ALEXANDER BLANCHET’S CARRIAGE

I drop my cookie on my plate and panic develops. I can feel my hands shaking but I quickly put them on my lap and slowly balling them into fists. 'This is not true . I mean- women would never degrade themselves by doing this.'

'Many notorious suffragettes like you are capable.' Lady Crowe snapped.'I do not understand how a lady can throw out her dignity and tarnish women's decebt nature. The art of being demure all gone to waste by a single lady who thinks we enjoy her so called suffragette informalities.'

Mary cleared her throat to get our attention and we all looked at her. ' Well Lady Crowe , other people think more about themselves than others . It is even grueling to conduct such an act Lord Alexander Blabchet will make sure to humiliate her and laws will even become more stringent for us females.'

Darn , why didn't I think of that ? I will now be the root cause of collateral damage for women . More like political damage. Who knows they are going to restrict us from leaving our houses due to ny selfish act and sudden conceited behavior?

I glance at Lady Crowe who is already gazing at me. The gaze of death. She does pull off a menacing stare . I nust atleast give her that compliment. I can feel her gaze intensifying with each second that passes by.

'Do you have something to say Zadie?' She cocked her brow and slowly raised her chin up looking even more confident but the venom laced in her voice is much threatening than her usual obey me or else stares.

My heart instantly turned into an African drum even though I tried my best to calm down. ' I have nothing to say Lady Crowe. I am full. I do not feel like eating breakfast. May I please be excused?' I looked down at the table while waiting for Lady Crowe's response.

'You may leave.'

Without wasting time , I bolted off my chair and stomped my way to the door. With one swing , the door flung open , and I banged it behind me as soon as I felt the anger building up mixed with fear.

As I walked down the pathways of England, I spotted big posters of the story in the article about my raid. Every window store had a big poster about the raid. The headlines are too much to bear , and my mind cannot process what Mr Griffin told me.

I hurried to the park where I spotted an empty bench and decided to sit on it. The park is serene. Green and amazing. It is quite the attraction with its spring flowers blossoming. It would look even more inviting if they had erected a pond or some statue of some sort.

Everyone might know about the raid but lucky for me no one knows I carried out the act. I must escape. Probably leave for aftica. It might do me good to disappear for a wh8le before anyone raises their suspicions. I cannot afford to lose my life over a bag of stupid coins. He must have enough. I am pretty sure he has millions stacked in his safe.

I start biting my fingernails to deal with the nervousness. I should have nor gone with the idea of the raid. Maybe things would have turned out differently. I can already feel my head starting to pound and it must be from excessive fear. Maybe drawing the coins was the stupidest thing I have done. I could have done something. Maybe return them anonymously but because of my stubborn nature I chose to destroy them which was not a clever idea considering the aftermath of my actions.
