I stared blindly at Blanchet; this was not him but something I have feared for a long time. I craved to understand what he was saying to me. Latin is something that is hard to understand. I wonder why it is livid, I have caught the fact that it is not livid at me but Blanchet. He must have done something that allowed it to take control over him. Something is not quite right.

'Please, bring him back. I want to talk to him.' I begged, nearly kneeling due to desperation. It slowly raised me up, brushing my chin in the process before locking its eyes with mine.

'Mihi crede, non est vir bonus. Numquam fuit.'

I yanked its arm off me.' Do you not speak English or any language that will make it less difficult to understand?' I paced the room I am frustrated. 'Think Zadie think.' I whispered to myself.

'Zadie, please.' It spoke up roughly. 'Blanchet is bad man.'

My eyes widened in surprise. It can speak English even though it has a few cracks here and there. Its inability to speak English well does not shock nor surprise me. I have always expected it for the mere fact that he has not been let out for years, decades even.

'What did Blanchet do?' I asked, slowly approaching him. He glanced down at my feet then back up at me. I brushed his cheek in hopes of getting him to succumb to me. I must find out what happened or else this will be pointless.

'Blanchet sleep with women.'

I furrowed my eyebrows. Louis was telling the truth. He really was at a pub. I could see the bruises on his face and his breath reeked of rum, but I dared to withstand it than shy away. 'Louis told me he was at a Corinth. 'I removed my palm away from him.' What-what is your name?' I do not want to cry; he might see me as weak. I do not care for Blanchet. He does not care about me and that is the way it should be.

'Arius.'

'Arius.' I smiled at him. His eyes glowed brighter than before. His big hand pulled my waist slowly at him. He gazed deeper into my eyes and pulled me away from his grasp.

'Do you know where the relic might be?'

It shook its head. 'Hidden walls.'

He left before I could question more. Hidden walls. Where could the so-called hidden walls be? I must search the entire manor for hidden walls. It is late at night, and I think 8t is best to do so. No one is going to follow me. Louis might be tending his wound this moment and Blanchet I mean Luca might be resting or doing something. I rushed to the library with only a candle in my hand. There must be a clue. I have read a lot of books where hidden walls or rooms are always in the library. It is more hidden and not a lot of people love reading which means it is a perfect hiding place for the so-called relic I am bound to wield.

I began touching the walls, pushing, and leaning on them to see which one is bearing a hidden room. I slowly move from wall to wall. Trying my best to find it but sadly there is nothing. I grab a book and lean against the bookshelf, but it slowly slides to the side. The low grumble of books shifting and rubbing against each other is heard and echoed through the library. Dust fills the air, intoxicating it enough to make me suffocate. I am a stream of coughs; I wave my hand in the dusty cloud ascending and fading into nothingness. I blink multiple times trying to see what lays behind the hidden wall. All I see is nothing but darkness. Pitch black. There is absolutely nothing in this space and I am afraid if I dare to step foot into it, I might be walking into some sort of a trap.

'Anyone here?' I whisper. I glance around, forcing my eyes to make out the space I am about to walk into. 'Is someone here?'

A loud rumble of thunderstorm strikes, and I flinch. I slowly step into the darkness, my eyes closed as I release a silent shaky breath. 'Is anybody here?' my voice echoes which tell me this hidden space is bigger than I thought. There must be something in here, I can feel it.
