The carriage moved slowly in procession, I could feel his gaze on me, and it worried me. I look out the carriage window and London is still restless. The papers are talking louder than the gossip. I managed to get the local paper and the headlines are still about Blanchet and I. 'can we stop somewhere? I want to do something before leaving London for good if that is the case.'

'Anything you want, do not be long.' He instructed and I nodded. I hopped off the carriage and got inside the nearest clothing store. I rush in, avoiding a lot of attention hence I am wearing the exact cloak I was wearing during the raid.

As soon as I step inside, multiple ladies are glaring at me as if what I did affects them. I move my eyes on the mannequins before grabbing a corset, a white shirt that I found in the men's section and trousers. I do not hesitate to find a hidden spot to wear the clothes I found.

'I do not have- 'before I can explain my money problems to Mr Crane, I see him leaning against the counter with a stack of money in Mr Cranes' hands.

He stared at my outfit before nodding. I could finally see his eyes. Ocean blue, fair skin and dirty brown long hair tied into a small pony at the back. 'I already paid; we need to leave. We do not have time.'

It is so fascinating that someone so young can sound old. His rough voice gave me the impression of a murderer or worse. I do not hesitate to follow him, but I still do not trust him. There is no way I am leaving London without paying my final visits to Lady Crowe. She did her best to protect me, but I need answers.

'I am going to the orphanage first.'  I stated.

'No, you are not.' He said harshly. 'We have to leave Zadie we do not have time.'

I turned to face him. 'Yes, we do. Do you have no authority over me all right? Let me have a say for once! '

'Zadie, I do not care about your suffragette bullshit. Just listen to someone for once!'

'Where has that ever gotten me?! 'I shouted.' Stop being a dew dropper. I am going to the orphanage and that is final.'

I never waited for any reply from him, but I just continued walking. I could feel and gear his footsteps behind me as I trudged my way to the orphanage. At this point, it does not matter whether people identify me or not. All I ever want to do is have my final words with Lady Crowe. We managed to pass the crowded pathways and it was not long when I found myself standing next to Lady Crowe's orphanage. Huge only doors in front of me waiting for an effortless push for them to open. It is already dawn and I know everyone might be behind these walls by this time.

'Just get inside.'

'Shut your mouth, will you?' I snapped before pushing the doors and letting myself in. It is quiet; it is never quiet at Lady Crowe's. Little Adam comes rushing my way but instead hugs Mr mysterious. He hugs him back with a grin plastered on his face.

'Zadie brought a pirate!' he shouts with his little voice that always brings me joy. A pirate? Adam's theories never cease to amaze me.

'So, you ate going to hug the pirate and not me little guy?' I asked as I rub his cheeks. He smiles as he holds out his hands for me to pick him up and I do. His weight is getting heavier with each passing day. 'You are heavy little fella, aren't you? Lady Crowe is feeding you well I see.'

Adam hugs me tighter, I can feel his tiny hands gripping tightly at my neck.' I missed you Zadie.' we break the hug, and he stares at my face. 'Lady Crowe told me that you are never returning. She told me you went into a deep slumber.'

Death. They thought Alexander already killed me.

'Adam, join the other boys.' Lady Crowe's commanding tone had Adam already jumping out of my grasp and scurrying away. Leaving me with pirate and Lady Crowe. She looked like a mess, her hair tied up into a messy bun and she just wore a simple dress which is not what Lady Crowe usually wears. She loves fancy apparel and now I am concerned for her.
