"Well then, shall we move on to practical lessons?" Glynne asked Kiana after giving a brief lesson of how to properly handle a sniper rifle.

"Yes!" Kiana responded, making Glynne nod his head in approval. He then pointed at a stationary target located about 600-700 meters away.

However, Glynne quickly noticed a somewhat dissatisfied expression on the white-haired girl's face upon looking at the target.

"Is there a problem?" Glynne naturally asked. He was quite surprised at her reaction as during the lesson, Kiana seemed quite obedient and listened to his words very seriously.

"Say Glynne, don't you think shooting stationary targets sound boring?" Kiana asked while pointing at them.

"I see, so that's how it is..." Glynne muttered and realized the reason.

Basically, Kiana was quite an impatient one. Though, it wasn't like he was unfamiliar with the feeling of wanting to quickly dive into the action.

However, this doesn't mean he would just agree with her. "Trust me, skipping basics is never a good idea."

"Ehhh... But it's no fun at all." Kiana complained as she pouted. She tried to think of an excuse and an idea suddenly hit her. "Then how about this? If i manage to hit the bullseye, let's move to the ceramic disks."

"Hoohh... " Glynne seemed intrigued by the proposition as he put his hand on his chin to think. After a few seconds of consideration... "Alright, I'll accept. However, let's increase the distance a bit... Hmm, how about that 1 km target?"

"No problem!" Kiana said in a confident tone. Even if Glynne increased it for another 200 meters, Kiana was sure she would still hit it. Reason for her confidence? It's because it's still in the effective range of the sniper rifle.

Kiana positioned herself and aligned her aim to the dot in the middle. When she was sure of her aim, she pulled the trigger.

A satisfying "ping" sound resounded but...

"Wha-" Kiana couldn't believe what she saw. Far from hitting the mark, she only grazed it.

Glynne chuckled as he knew this would happen. Hitting a mark in long distances wasn't as easy as one would think. Even he messed up from time to time.

Just one minor movement could mess up your shot. Not to mention, the multiple factors like wind speed or temperature.

Unable to see her mistake, Kiana once again aimed at the target. This time, she tried to adjust her aim base on where the previous bullet landed before firing.

But even with that, she was still quite far from hitting the center.

Kiana became quite impatient. It was supposed to be an easy task.

Once again, she fired another one but still missed her mark.

And another one...

And another...

Seeing that she might take a while, Glynne looked around to find some nice resting spot. Luckily, there's a tree with a nice shade nearby. He approached it and leaned his back on the trunk as he continued to observe Kiana

Quite some time has passed as sweat begun to drip on her chin. Kiana has to stop for a bit in order to wipe it off.

This quick break made her reassess her current situation.

Seeing the multiple holes near the red dot, her precision has quite improved compared to the earlier attempts. Though, she had lost count of how many times she had pulled the trigger in order to achieve this.
