Chapter 19 - Break

"That's the end of my report." Himeko said as Theresa looked through the papers. After a little bit of checking, the Principal put the papers on her desk while looking a bit satisfied.

"It's unfortunate that we ran into a problem during the Expedition but it's a good thing that the damages were minimized while dealing with an Elite Honkai beast." Theresa remarked in a bit of relieved tone. The incident were quite a dangerous one after all. Worst-case scenario, they may have suffered a few casualties. Fortunately, the incident only ended up with injuries. "How's the injured by the way?"

"Right now, almost all injured students got discharge from the medical center this morning." Himeko reported. "However, those who suffered heavy injuries are still recovering. Particularly, one student is still unconscious after suffering a concussion."

"I see" Theresa nodded as she wondered what to do. Perhaps giving them a week break would suffice. After what they have gone through, the students definitely need a bit of time to recover.

As Theresa was taking some notes on what to do, she noticed that something seemed to be troubling Himeko.

"Is there a problem, Himeko?" Naturally, Theresa asked for it due to her curiosity.

Himeko seemed quite hesitant to talk about it. After a moment of deliberation, she came into a conclusion while bringing out her tablet.

"It's about Mr. Romero." Himeko said while handing her device, showing a paused video, to Theresa. "Since Principal knew about him before transferring, I want to show you this."

Theresa unpaused the video as it displayed the fight of Glynne, alongside Kiana and another Chevalier, against a horde of Honkai beast. That said the highlight of the video was during the time when Glynne had used his power to kill a Honkai beast.

After watching it, Theresa didn't hesitate to delete the video.

"Theresa...?" Himeko was obviously shocked by what happened that she even forget to address her superior properly.

"Himeko, is there anyone beside you who saw this?" Theresa asked as her demeanor changed.

"Other than me, there's another Chevalier besides who also witness it happen." Himeko answered quickly. "However, I've given him a gag order just in case."

"Good..." Theresa nodded in approval. However, leaving it like that might cause any future problem. Theresa once again begin to think as she was deciding whether to proceed with her plan a bit earlier than what she initially thought. "From now on, please do not discuss this with other people. This is of utmost importance."

"Yes Ma'am." Himeko replied however, she seemed to be still unsatisfied with this decision.

"Looks like there's still something you want to ask." Theresa commented. "Very well, I'm allowing you just this once."

With Theresa's permission, Himeko didn't hesitate any longer and voiced out her concerns. "About the boy's power, can you tell me about it Principal?"

It was as Theresa had expected, after seeing such power, it was natural that people will question it. Theresa couldn't help but sigh as she stood up from her chair and looked over the scenery from her windows to calm herself down.

"Himeko, I trust you so I'll tell you." Theresa said while glancing at the red-haired teacher. "After this, don't ever bring it up ever again."

"Yes Ma'am!" Himeko answered.

Seeing the teacher's response, Theresa began her explanation. "To put it simply, Glynne possessed a special stigmata."

Stigmata, as it was repeatedly being mentioned before, it was the source of powers for the Valkyries. Besides giving basic superhuman enhancements, it also offers unique abilities depending on the stigmata.
