"So they are trying to find us, huh..." Glynne muttered.

Half an hour had passed. With Jin somewhat recovering enough strength to stand up, they decided to move. However, just after reaching the subway entrance, they immediately run into a dilemma.

Outside the subway entrance were several Honkai beasts roaming around the area. They were probably the Honkai beast that was chasing them earlier. Since this was where they lost sight of them, the Honkai beast might have decided to stay around the place.

After Glynne was done with his observation, he returned to his teammates. Upon seeing Glynne descending down the stairs, Kiana ran up to him.

"How was it?" Kiana asked about the situation.

"Not good." Glynne shook his head. "There's quite a lot of Honkai beast outside."

Hearing the news, Kiana can't help but furrow her eyebrows. "What should we do now?"

Glynne tried to think of a plan. There's an option of going back and using the subway tunnels to exit at another station. However, when Glynne checked the tunnels while Jin was unconscious, he found that the way was blocked due to the tunnel collapsing.

Calling for backup wasn't working either as reception inside the subway wasn't that great. It would be a different case if they were able to bring a portable relay station but as to be expected, none of them has it.

No matter how hard Glynne thought about it, he could only think of one thing.

"... If you're planning to become a decoy again, that's rejected." But before Glynne could vocalize his plans, Kiana seemed to have already read his mind.

"Can you think of any other option?" Glynne asked the girl beside him. "You already saw it earlier. I'm more than capable of becoming a decoy."

"It's still dangerous." This time, Jin joined in the conversation as he seemed to be on the side of Kiana. "You never knew what would happen. Just look at me."

Glynne furrowed his brows as he didn't expect Jin to use the "Look at me" card. Because of it, Jin became oddly more convincing.

"... Fine, you win." After a few seconds of deliberation, Glynne sighed in resignation. "In any case, we're in a relatively safe place so this gives us a bit of time. Shall we spend this time to think of more ways to get out of this situation?"

The other nodded in agreement to Glynne's suggestion.

Thus, the three have a brief meeting about what to do.

"Alright, are you two ready?" Glynne asked.

Kiana and Jin nodded in response.

"Jin, just to make sure." Glynne faced the boy dressed in a ninja outfit. "You're not faking it, right?"

"No worries" Jin replied. "Ninja's greatest strength is their legs so I make sure to properly train mine to recover quickly."

"Is that so?" Glynne said while furrowing his brows. Jin's statement doesn't make much sense but since he was back with his obsession with ninjas, he seemed to be fine now. "Well, just stick closely behind me. Kiana, make sure to inform me if you notice something wrong with him."

"Yes!" Kiana replied.

"Well then..." Glynne breathed deeply as he looked at his Honkai energy indicator.

The numbers, which were lowered due to the medicine earlier, began to steadily rise once again. This was because Glynne was actively using his ability to accumulate the Honkai energy in his surroundings to himself.
