Made of only the stars from the night sky, the star necklaces are primarily known for their function of keeping an anti-human's cannibalistic urges under control, they also have other uses.
The stars that make the necklaces are brought down from the sky by the god of light and their blazing heat and light are compacted and crystallized to be just the right size for humans to be able to manage them. Then after that they're energy is cultivated for a multitude of purposes, each with different colors to mark them separately.
The standard yellow stars are given to anti-humans to suppress their cannibalistic urges. They aren't allowed to be outside of their homes without wearing their necklace. An anti-human can go without wearing one for about an hour before their cannibalistic urges start to kick in.
The purple stars are for people with diseases related to their magic. For example, Okubyona has a rare disease that eats the magic from her blood cells and it's very hard to treat. To help slow down the disease she wears a purple star necklace. like anti-humans, people with diseases similar to this can only go without wearing it for one hour before it's effects wear off.
The green star necklaces are made for people born with magic defects. If a person is born with a defect that makes their magic production slower, they'll be given a green star necklace to help fasten the pace of which magic is produced with their body. Similarly, for a person born with a defect that makes magic produce too quickly in their body, they'll be given a green star necklace to make the pace slower. These types of people can only go an hour without wearing one before the effects wear off.
And lastly are black stars. These stars are given to criminals to stop them from being able to use magic. They are attached to their body and embedded in their skin to stop them from taking it off so that they won't be able to use magic in any way. The stars are connected to their blood stream and nervous system so it can basically read their thoughts. If a person has the intention of taking it out and acts on it, the star will send a paralyzing pain through their body that will paralyze them. These stars can only be taken off by the prison wardens. They can only go an hour without wearing one before its effects begin to wear off. {willow is watching]
The stars are sentient and when worn they connect to the mind and magic of its holder and can respond to their specific problem accordingly.
