Night had fallen long ago it seemed as they awaited word from the Commander and her agreement of a truce. Adalynn's leg bounced quickly as she glanced around the camp, watching the people of the fallen Ark go about their business either guarding them, finishing their tasks for the day, or enjoying the night air.
"How long could this possibly take?" Raven muttered from across from Adalynn.
"God only knows at this point."
As if on cue, the loud chatter and heavy metal moving perked Adalynn and Raven up. The two stood to their feet and rushed towards the gate where Clarke Griffin was returning to her people. Large men in armor sat upon even larger horses as guides to walk her back to the gates she quickly walked through. Adalynn and Raven rushed over to them, Bellamy quickly falling into step with the girls.
"Close the gate!" Clarke yelled over her shoulder as she turned Finn away from the fencing, "You shouldn't be out here."
They walked further into the camp, Abby and Clarke embracing as a small crowd formed around them. Abby was the one to break away from her shell shocked looking daughter, "What did she say? Is there a chance for a truce?"
"Yes." A loud murmur came from around the camp but something felt off to Adalynn, something wasn't right with the way the girl was acting.
"What's wrong?" Finn asked, seemingly picking up on the same thoughts the daughter of Kane was having. Almost robotically, Clarke turned to him.
"They want you." She spoke before turning back to her mother, "If we want a truce, we have to give them Finn."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Raven spoke up.
"That's their offer."
"That's not an offer."
"It's a punishment." Finn realized, "For what happened at the village, blood for blood."
"That's insane." Bellamy spoke up now, his rifle still settled in his hands.
"If we refuse?" Abby asked as multiple voices began to voice their opinions of wanting to hand the boy over.
"They attack."
The words had weight to them. Panic immediately surged through everyone in the camp, some of that panic shifted into anger quickly as the voices around the camp got louder and louder with their opinions. They stepped closer to the group standing in the middle of them, closing in and creating a claustrophobic tension. Major Byrne had a failed attempt to push the people back.
"Give him to the Grounders." One man, Jason, spoke louder than the rest as he stepped forward and to Finn.
"Back off!" Raven called as she put herself between Jason and Finn and shoved him backwards. Both Bellamy and Adalynn reacted quickly, the former of the two began to keep the angered man back while the latter gripped an angered Raven's bicep with both hands and yanked her backwards and towards Clarke who was already reaching out for her.
"Raven, listen to me." Clarke pulled her attention, holding onto her shoulders "Nothing is going to happen to him. I promise."
"I'm not dying for him!" Another angered member of the Ark walked towards them, pointing his finger to the boy on a trial of sorts, "Spacewalker burned three months of oxygen from The Ark! He should've been floated a long time ago. Throw him out!"
Raven once again pushed the man before throwing a punch. Adalynn tried again to pull the dark haired girl back but she only threw her elbow back at her which the dark blonde luckily ducked from. Byrne was next to have Raven's fist swung at her, only to have a punch landed on her face, stumbling from its force.
