After weeks of spending time with these soldiers, I realized something. They are complete and utter idiots. The blues consisted of: Tucker, who hit on every living thing he saw, caboose who couldn't do anything right, and church who was constantly yelling at them both.
I also met the Reds, also complete idiots. Sarge, the private still dreaming to be a Sargent, Grif, the laziest ass I've ever seen. Donut, happy kid but can't fight for shit, and Simmons, the kiss ass.
Now with this horrible team, it was time to find the meta. But tomorrow we set out. Caboose needed me to tell him bed time stories every single night so I sat on his bunk.
"What would you like to hear today" I sighed.
"What was your family like?" He asked.
I was a little shocked because caboose never had asked me anything of actual importance.
"It's a long story, but I'll tell you.
I never had a family as a kid, but then I found the freelancer program; the one I told you about. I started training when I was about 16 with a small group. This group was my family and still is but the most important family member were Carolina, York and....." I stopped there.
I haven't said her name in so long though I thought about her every day. There wasn't a second I didn't think about her. She was my obsession, even though she was gone.
"Come on dude spit it out" I now just realized tucker had come in to listen.
"It's...Alaska"
