Evelyn's pov
I watched as Luca took another bite of his chicken. It has only been three days since Rain left me, they told me that he just left but I knew deep down that didn't happen. That morning was replayed in my mind over one hundred times, and each time I told myself I could have fixed it.
Luca dropped his fork and looked at me with a serious expression. "Eat your food, Evelyn. It's been three days." I looked down at my untouched food and just pushed it around some more.
I couldn't eat, and food became repulsive to me again. I sighed while leaning back and going back to texting Lilith. I texted her every day, and every time it was the same thing.
Lil: No I haven't heard from him. He probably just needs some time.
I shook my head as I thought of her words. Rain wouldn't need 'time' especially after he just asked me out. I wanted to go back to my room and curl into a ball and watch the twilight series again. Right now I felt like Bella in the second movie, I didn't understand her before but now I understand exactly how she feels.
My phone was taken out of my hands and I turned my head to glare at Alessandro. "Give it back." I didn't care how rude I sounded, I needed my phone. Sandro looked at me for a second before shaking his head and putting my phone in his back pocket.
My side started to hurt and I looked at Angelo and pointed to my side. "It hurts again." Angelo nodded and rounded the table to my side. I pulled my shirt up and looked down at the small bandage, it was like he left a tiny piece of him with me even though I was the idiot to give it to myself.
Angelo checked it and then pulled out two pills and crushed them up into a powder. I placed the powder into my sprite and drank the whole thing in one go. "Evelyn, we wanted to talk to you. We need answers and we need them quickly." I turned to face Luca and I raised my eyebrows, silently telling him to ask away.
The drugs in my system will kick in soon so I won't have to worry about anything in a few minutes. "We need to know about your life before you came to live with us." Fuck the medicine. I looked at each of my brothers and they all looked intrigued.
I was about to crush their words in a few seconds, they are probably never going to look at me the same but hey what can I lose right? I took a deep breath and shrugged. "Mom and stepdad abused me and practically sold me for money. Happy now?" All of their faces dropped and I smiled, I smiled because I have nothing left to do.
Romeo leaned back in his chair and Marco leaned his hands on the table while looking at me with all seriousness. "What do you mean 'sold you' can you elaborate?" I could tell by the tension in the air that they didn't want to even know the answer.
I hated this, I hated how I felt like I was out on the stage telling my whole life story. I shook my head and looked down at my lap, I wanted to suck the tears in but I couldn't.
A few tears slipped out of my eyes but I didn't wipe them as I looked up at Marco once again. "They sold me as a sex slave to their friends. Their friends were monsters and Simon...Simon and my mother watched." My tears only burned my face as I spoke.
I felt a rough thumb under my eye and I turned to see Luca looking at me while shaking his head. "I'm sorry." I shook my head and shrugged but all of my brothers shook their heads while looking down.
