It's been bout 2 hours since the group left and I'm currently sitting alone in Glenn's tent, fiddling with the laces of my shoes.
"Ainsley?" A voice asks from outside my tent. "Can I come in?"
"Yeah sure." I say tossing the shoe down as Carl walks in. "Hey what's up?"
"Shane's gonna teach me how to catch frogs, I came to see if you wanted to come." He explains kicking the ground beneath him.
"Frogs?" I ask trying not to giggle. "Shane says they taste good, I honestly don't believe him."
"I wouldn't either." I chuckle while shaking my head.
"I think I'll let you and Shane be the frog providers." I tell him barely missing the flash of disappointment on his face.
"Okay, well you change you mind, we're just at the pond." I nod, smiling at him before he leaves.
After a while of sitting by myself I decide even catching frogs is better than this.
I slowly make my way down the cliff and towards the pond, trying my hardest not to fall and die.
When I finally reach the bottom I watch as Shane and Carl splash around in the water and quickly regret my decision to come down here.
I walk past Ed and towards the group of women who are sitting by the water, rubbing clothes up and down a board.
"Hi." I mumble getting closer to the group.
"Ainsley? What are you doing down here?" Andrea asks standing up from her bucket seat.
"I originally came to watch the catching of frogs, but they seem to not be having the best of luck." I chuckle pointing behind me to the two boys, still splashing around.
"No they don't." Jacqui says while staring behind me. "I'd be careful if you go over there. Might get a net on your head." She scoffs before starting to scrub again.
"Can I help here instead?" I ask glancing down at the washboards.
"Oh no sweetie the kids don't do these type of chores." Ed's wife tells me while stretching out her arms.
"I'd rather do this than catch frogs."
All the women agree to let me help and after showing me how, I think I'm pretty damn good at it.
"I do miss my Maytag." Ed's wife says as I dunk a pair of pants in my bucket, bringing it back up against the washboard.
"I miss my Benz, my sat nav." Andrea tells us while scrubbing a shirt.
"I miss my coffee maker." Jacqui adds, squeezing the water out of a shirt.
"My computer and texting." Andrea's sister says, staring out into the water.
"I miss my grandma's cookies."
"I miss my vibrator." Andrea says making the women around me giggle while I just stare in confusion.
"What a vibrator?"
Even though I didn't mean for it to be funny, everyone burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?" Ed asks, slowly making his way down to us.
"I'm asking the same thing." I mumble to myself as the laughter stops.
"Just swapping war stories Ed." Andrea tells him as he gets closer and I lean forward to empty my dirt water bucket.
"Problem Ed?" Andrea asks, glaring at Ed who's right behind me, staring at the little part of my back that's expose from me leaning forward.
I instantly sit back up, pulling shirt down. "Nothin that concerns you."
