TW- For this chapter, sa, attempted r@pe, there will be a warning before this section.

Our group has been walking for hours and my feet hurt. Rick and I are now ahead, Carl and Michonne trailing behind us.

"I think we've got bout a day's worth of water left." Rick tells us as I kick a rock, watching it roll in front of me. "We're lucky it's cooling down a bit, but-" He continues, cutting himself off and turning around.

I do the same, finding Carl and Michonne balancing on the tracks, their arms raised out at their sides.

"What are you doing?" Rick asks as I let out a chuckle at the sight. "Winning a bet." Carl tells him, the boys eyes focused on his feet. "In your dreams." Michonne retorts, the two slowly approaching us.

"I'm still on." Carl tells her before fake pushing her making him lose his balance. "Spoke too soon, wise guy." Michonne taunts as Carl tries to regain his balance again.

"This might go on a while." Rick says, patting my shoulder and walking back to the two. "Maybe we could speed this up a bit?" He pleads as I follow behind him, the two of us stopping in front of the other two.

"Yeah, you're right." Michonne says still moving forward on the metal beam. "Shouldn't be fooling around." She continues, her arms still raised. "We should- Carl!" She shouts the last bit, fake pushing the boy but losing her footing in the process, falling off the beam.

"Ohh." I say, crossing my arms over my chest while Carl steps down. "I win." The boy tells her, moving over to my side. "Pay up." He demands, sticking his hand out.

Rick and I share a small smile while Michonne riffles through her bag, pulling out two chocolate bars. "Is that really the last big cat?" Carl asks before slowly reaching for the big cat bar.

"Oh come on." Michonne groans but the boy takes it from her anyways. "You said winner's choice."

"Fine, take it." Michonne tells him, tossing the other bar back in her back. "You won it far and square."

Carl opens the bar as we all start walking again. He breaks off a small piece, handing it to me before splitting the bar in half, offering to to Michonne.

The woman takes it as I take a bite of my piece, instantly contorting my face. "I don't like it." I tell the group getting a laugh from Rick. "Gross." I mumble, handing what remains of the piece back to Carl the boy devouring it along with his half.

"You are picky." Carl tells me and I turn to him with a glare. "No, you just eat gross things." I argue as the two of us fall behind the adults again.

After a lot more hours of walking I start to complain. "My feet are killing me." I groan, shifting the bag on my back to my other shoulder. "Can we please stop?"

A more more complaints later and we set up camp for the night, Rick cooking something in a can over an open fire.

"How hungry are you on a scale of one to ten?" Rick asks, my head leant against Carl's shoulder. "Fifteen." The boy says and I chuckle, looking to Michonne to answer next. "Twenty-eight."

An actual laugh leaves my lips as I look at the fire. "I'll follow your rules and say ten." I say with a smile. "Yeah, well it's been a while."

"I'm gonna go check the snares." Rick tells us, handing his can contraption over to Michonne. "Can I come with you?" Carl asks and we both look up at Rick as he stands. "How else are you gonna learn."

"No." I groan scooting over as Carl stands up. I place my head in Michonne's lap, closing my eyes with a smile as she looks down at me.

"Nope, you two, too." Rick tells us, kicking out our fire and my eyes snap open. "Do you hate me, actually?" I ask and the man smiles, shaking his head while offer his hand for me.
