I haven't left Glenn's tent, even when the rest of the group left to burry the people we lost last night and for the first time since I got here, the camp is completely quiet.

That doesn't last long as everyone starts getting back, Sophia coming and sitting with me.

"Is Jim gonna die?" She asks breaking the silence. I look over to her making her look down.

"Yeah." I tell her with a small nod. "You can't survive a bite."

"That's why you want to kill him now." She states, looking up from the ground.

"I don't want to kill anyone." I scoff at her before laying down. "Jim will be in a lot of pain for a long time."

"I don't want him to go through that." Sophia tells me, laying next to me.

"Me either."

After a very tense moment of silence Sophia shoots up and turns to me. "Can I braid your hair?"

I'm clearly caught off guard at the sudden shift but none the less, muttering a quick sure as I sit up.

She starts right away, running her fingers through my knotty hair, whispering sorrys every time she yanks a knot.

Sophia separates my hair into three sections, ordering me to hold one.

"Left over, middle under." She mutters before grabbing the strand I'm holding. "Right, over left under."

She keeps whispering to herself as I just sit there. I feel her tug a little before announcing she's done.

"You have really nice hair, it could be nicer but you know." She tells me and I choose to ignore the slight insult.

As I start playing with my braid, Sophia's mom walks in making both of us turn to her.

"Lunch time girls."

We both rush out of the tent and towards the fire. I sit next to Carl as his mom hands me some fish and a few berries.

After thanking her I dig in, starving as I haven't eaten since last night before the attacks.

As I plop a berry in my mouth, Rick, Shane and Dale join us with guns on their backs.

"I've uh, I've been thinking bout Ricks' plan." Shane tells the group while placing his gun down. "There's no guarantees either way, I'll be the first to admit that."

I ignore him, taking a bite out of my fish.

"I've known this man a long time and I trust his instincts." Shane continues as I shake my head. "I say the most important thing here is that we stay together."

"Those of you who agree, we leave soon" That makes me look up, confused.

"What, where are we going?" I quickly ask putting my plate down.

"The CDC." Rick says walking over to me. "It's Jim's best shot."

I slowly shake my head, knowing that Jim is a goner.

"Fine." I scoff out anyway as I really don't want to be alone.

Once he has my approval Rick runs off somewhere as the rest of us start packing our things, not that I had much.

"Everyone listen up!" Shane shouts making me and Glenn leave his tent. "Those of you with CBs we're gonna be on channel 40." He explains as we get closer. "Let's keep the chatter down okay?"

"Now, you have a problem and don't have a CB, can't find a signal anything. You're gonna hit your horn one time." Shane explains the everyone. "That'll stop the caravan."
