Chapter 2 An Odd Occurance

Toothless stood proudly on the screen. Behind him screenshots of articles from over three hundred years ago. A dark figure against the moon and a large tag line across the top.

Nightfury Defends Dragon Den!

It was one of the first documented sightings of a Nightfury class dragon. All the research Hiccup and latter the ai Toothless had found matched the powers he now had. It seemed his only problem was the lack of control that the original Nightfury seemed to have in spades.

A sudden pounding roused Hiccup from his thoughts. "Hiccup Howard Haddock open this door this instant! By Thor's hammer I will break it down!"

Hiccup sighed before swiveling his chair around to face the door.

"He seriously didn't listen to a single word I said earlier."

Hiccup was about to speak when a gentle rapping sound came from the door. "Hiccup dear, please open the door we just want to talk."

Hiccup glared at the door and resisted the urge to hiss. "No you don't. You just want to yell and berate me for things that I can't change. You won't listen to a word I say and will just tell me to be more like you. So lets skip the mutual shouting match and get to the part where you ground me for things I didn't do."

A large roar that filled the house followed by the sound of pounding heavy feet. Hiccup watched as the door bowed inward as Stoic hit it with his full weight. The door quickly rebounded tossing Stoic back. Hiccup used his echo sense to watch as Stoic slid on his back almost to the stairs.

Hiccup shook his head. "Farthest yet, he must have put all his effort in on that one. I think we will let him cool off for a bit before coming out. Toothless feel like gathering more data on the suit?"

The little ai bounced around the screen making Hiccup smile. He turned to his window and checked to make sure no one was watching or would see him. Once he was sure it was safe he jumped to the tree outside his room. He began to slip so he dug in his claws and looked down. He let go and dropped to the ground in a crouch. He dashed away and headed for the inner city. Once he found a good dark alley Hiccup stopped.

"Alright Toothless let's double check the numbers on some of the suit aspects." Hiccup pressed some buttons on his belt buckle. Black began creeping along his arms, legs, and chest. Hiccup closed his eyes as the black engulfed his head. Notifications began to ring in his ears as systems came online.

"Nanite cloth completely formed, timed at two seconds. Armor completely formed, timed at a total of ten seconds. Beginning scan for criminal activity."

Hiccup opened his eyes and looked up. A display sat in the corners of his vision. He spread his midnight black wings and shot into the air. He spun enjoying the feeling of freedom in the air. Toothless warbled to get his attention. "There is a shootout on seventh. Academy students are unable to handle it, for some unknown reason none of the standard heros are responding."

Hiccup stopped and hovered mid air. "How much longer can the students last without aid?"

Toothless hummed for a second. "About ten minutes before they are overwhelmed and potential for injuries of civilians increases. The attacking villains do not appear to be following the treaty."

"Toothless what is the status of the voice alter tech?" Hiccup waited anxiously for Toothless to answer.

"The voice alter tech was completed and installed three hours ago. Further testing is needed to tell if more work needs to be done. More data coming in on the shoot out. Twelve dragon villains have five academy students pinned down. The enemy villains include five nadder class, a zippleback class, four gronkle class, two nightmare class, and a rare singetail class."
