The Mysterious Nightfury

Chapter 5 Deep talks

A sudden blaring siren froze everyone in place. Hiccup scowled before walking to another room. Toothless was already in the room growling. "Toothless display current event as many angles and points of reference as you can. We need to know what set off the alarms."

The others peaked in as multiple news casts appeared on a large screen. Multiple news casters were hunkered in various places trying to speak while explosions and roars filled the air. "Villains have begun attacking food marts in mass. Bystanders have identified the following gangs. Stinger clan, the Burglur tribe, the Shockers, and the Ocean opperation. People are advised to remain indoors while the heros handle the situation."

Eret's hands shook with barely suppressed rage. "I told my gang not to leave the compound. How dare they disobey me?!"

"They might not be. This doesn't match any villain profile. Toothless bring up Shadow sound file number seven and cross reference with news cast background noise." Eret gave Hiccup an odd look as sound files were brought up and compared.

Match found blared across the screen causing Hiccup to scowl. He went over to an odd contraption and pressed a button. "Calling Shadow come in Shadow."

Everyone gave Hiccup a confused look as an unknown metallic voice answered. "Shadow here, Nightfury is listening in over."

"Sound files match, repeat sound files match. The villains currently attacking are hypnotized. Over." Hiccup sighed in relief that he had thought to have Toothless act as Shadow for just such an occasion.

"Copy that, do you have an advisable course of action? Over." Toothless gave Hiccup a sly look.

Hiccup glared at him before thinking for a moment. He turned to the others gathered in the room. "One moment Shadow. Guys listen Nightfury and Shadow can't handle this alone. Even the heros are struggling, think of it as restoring the name of villains."

Dagur stepped forward. "I'll help Brother, but you have some explaining to do when I get back."

The others nodded as he passed them a new set of helmets. He turned back to the device. "Come in Shadow this is Forge works. Help is coming do your best to knock out those involved. Over."

The metallic voice crackled over the radio again. "Copy that Forge works. We will be waiting at the clock tower. Shadow out."

Hiccup turned to Dagur, Heather, Cami, and Eret. "Thank you for being willing to help. These helmets will allow you to keep in contact with Nightfury among other things. Eret consider this a test drive for the suit."

They all nodded and made their way out. Once they were gone Hiccup sighed in relief. "Alright Toothless lets get going. We need to get to the clock tower before everyone gets there."

Hiccup tapped his belt to activate his armor. Toothless shifted, his body expanded and changed. He looked like a real dragon complete with midnight black wings. They flew quickly to the clock tower. Hiccup looked down on the city while Toothless hid in the shadows. He looked over when Eret and the others arrived. "Nightfury! We are here, what now?"

"Calm down Thunderdrum, we don't want to start a fight, we are here to help." Heather had her hand on Eret's shoulder holding him back.

Hiccup nodded to Heather as he stood from his crouch. "Thank you. Let's get the introductions out of the way and start saving the city."

Dagur stepped forward. "I am Green Gronkle, this is Silver Slash Razorwhip. This is Grey Smoke Breath and you have met Thunderdrum. That is all of us."

Hiccup nodded. "Pleasure to meet you, this makes our numbers even. We'll break up into two teams."
