Chapter 40- The Great Escape Pt2

The plan had been set in motion. First off Ronnie and Reggie need to get inside, they use disguises- Veronica in a blonde wig and Reggie just in a suit. Kevin pretends to be a delivery man and then finds a tunnel where Archie will come out off. Betty is taking apart some cars so they can't follow us. I get a text from Kevin to tell me where I need to be, I met him there in 10 minutes, but the grid won't open
"Thank god your here Betty" I turn and see her walking towards us "Joaquin was just here. I have to go after him. I'll be back. I promise"
"Go it's alright" I smile at Kev who smiles back. Between me and Betty we get the grid open. A few minutes later Archie is crawling out and I hug him immediately not caring how dirty and smelly he is
"Oh my god. Your bleeding" Betty says making me look down to his side. The sun had started to set and the light was getting dimmer outside.
"Shit. We gotta get you to the bunker. Toni's there she'll know what to do. Betty help me get him on the bike" Betty nods her head and we both help him up. I get on to the bike while Betty puts a helmet on for Archie
"I'll make a distraction" I nod my head
"Ok Arch hold on tight. Do not let go of me"
"Got it"

After a bout 40 minutes I arrive at the secret bunker. When I get there the others are all waiting. Reggie helps Archie off the bike while Veronica opens up the door to the bunker. Archie drops down and I see Jughead with him in no time. I climb down as I see Pea and Fangs help Jug with my brother. They put him on the bed and Toni gets to work while I just pace about with tears running down my face. Pea stops me by putting his hands on my shoulders
"Babe calm down. Toni knows what to do. She's cleaned us up enough times now. Come here" I wrap my arms around Pea's torso while he places one hand over my back and the other in my hair, stroking it to try and calm me down
"There all patched up. No sudden movement" Toni says
"I wont. Thanks Toni"
"How do you feel?" I ask he taking his hand in mine
"Like crap"
"Who did that to you" Ronnie says nodding to his wound
"It was Joaquin" I look at Kevin then Fangs and Pea with sad eyes "he stabbed me. I think the warden made him do it" it's silent "guys where the hell am I?" he asks looking around
"Your in Dilton's bunker. The only people who know it exists are in this room"
"Plus Ethel" everyone looks at me "what? she does"
"Now it's the safest place in Riverdale for you. Promise" betty continues
"Dillon has a bunker?"
"We'll catch you up to speed once your rested ok Archie what's this?" Ronnie says lowering the blanket
"Oh my god. Archie what happened?" I almost yell
"Courtesy of Warden Norton to put me in my place after I tried to escape last time"
"The warden branded you and ordered Joaquin to stab you?"
"What kinda place is that?"
"Can I have everyone's attention" Veronica says. I stand up and walk in between Pea and Fangs. Pea hugs me "since my father saw me I need to go do some damage control on the home front, but someone needs to stay here with Archie at all times"
"We'll take shifts. Pea and I can do the first one"
"Rory. You need to go home he will have heard about the break out by now and he'll know you had some part. You've gotta go so he doesn't seem to suspicious" Jug tells me
"We will do the first shift" Betty says looking at me
"Ok. Everyone in this room is part of a pact. From this moment on, no one knows this bunker exists no one was apart of that breakout and no one is aware of Archie's whereabouts. To the grave. Capiche?" Pea and Fangs nod their head first everyone else follows.

Pea takes me home that evening on his bike
"I'll see you tomorrow" i say giving Pea a quick kiss
"See you tomorrow" turn around when Pea gets my attention "hey" I look back at Pea "I love you" I smile at him
"I love you too. Goodnight Sweet Pea"
"Goodnight Aurora Andrews" I smile once more and walk into my house where my dad it
"Where have you been Rory?"
"On a date with Pea. We went to Sweetwater"
"So you had no part in Archie's break out?" wow word travels fast. Time to do my best acting
"Archie's broken out? when, how?" I frown looking at my dad
"Rory, did you or did you not help him?"
"I didn't" I shake my head, wow lying to your dad feels horrible
"Any idea on where he might go?"
"I don't know. I'd say here, but that would be to obvious" I shrug my shoulders "the school maybe or he's skipped town?"
"Ok, Rory go to bed, you've got school in the morning. We will chat more about this tomorrow, it's late now"
"Ok. Goodnight dad"
"Goodnight Rory"
