Ethal had a seizer during school the other day, Ben jumped out of a window and there's this new girl Evelyn, who kinda gives me the creeps. Veronica's speak easy is nearly ready for opening, Jose will be singing there while some of the Serpents will be bodyguards and serving drinks along side Reggie, weird, I never thought I'd see the day.
"I'm really worried about Archie. The last time I saw him he was beaten up by the guards for fuck all" I sigh sitting in the lounge, cuddling Sweet Pea
"Archie will be alright he's capable of looking after himself" Pea rubs his hands over my arms
"I know. I just have this weird feeling like somethings going to happen"
"Hey guys" Kevin walks in with Fangs and Reggie
"Hey" I quietly says
"What's up with you?"
"She's worried about Archie" Pea says for me
"He'll be ok. He's got the Serpents" Reggie says sitting down opposite me. Fangs sits next to me and Kev sits on the arm rest
"That's what I said"
"But it's not the Ghoulies I'm worried about, well I mean I guess a little but, I don't think the people in charge of juvie are doing their job correctly. Especially now I know Veronicas dad is tide into it"
"You're beginning to sound like Jughead" Fangs chuckles
"Oh great" I roll my eyes
"We get it. He's your twin. You worry about each other, your dad, FP and my dad are still trying to get him out"
"What if they can't? what if it's down to us?"
"Then so be it" Reggie leans back on the couch. I sigh and lean more into Sweet Pea.
That evening is the opening of Veronicas speakeasy. Pea drives us there on his bike, Veronica told me to dress nicely but because we came on his bike I had to put pants on. So instead of a dress I'm wearing black leather pants with knee high boots and a dark green lancey top. We walk in being greeted by Reggie
"Hi you two. Well don't you both look good" Reggie smiles at Sweet Pea then me
"Right follow me" we walk past the queue and we enter the speakeasy
"Woah. Ronnie has done a good job in here" I comment looking around the room
"Sure has. She's asked me to help at the bar every now and then, get paid as well"
"Things might be finally looking up for the Serpents" I smile at Pea who wraps his arm around my waist
"Hi best friend" Cheryl walks over to me smiling with Toni
"Hey"
"We got you some drinks"
"Why thank you" Pea and I take a drink from the girls
"Ladies and gentleman. On behalf of Veronica Lodge I thank you all for coming to the grand opening of La Bonne Nuit now please welcome to the stage the one and only Miss Josephine McCoy" Josie walks on stage and I hear Reggie give her a big cheer. Fangs joins Pea and I and we all clap cheering Josie on.
When she finishes her song we again all clap, by this time Pea and I have finished our drinks
"Josie you were amazing" I hug the girl
"Thank you Rory" Reggie goes to hug Josie but she looks awkward, I guess they've stopped their summer romance
"How's Archie doing?" Josie asks me. I sigh
"Honestly I don't know. I think the inmates are giving him a hard time. I just wish he was out of there"
"I know. Hopefully he will soon" Josie smiles at me trying to give me some hope
"So does anyone want any more drinks?" Reggie asks
"Sure" Pea says taking my hand and walking over to the bar. Reggie goes behind to make us all a drink. Betty and Jughead come to join us. I look at all of us together, smiling and having fun
"Penny for your thoughts" Toni asks me
"Just, not even a year ago we all hated each other, or well you lot all did. Bulldogs Vs Serpents. Then all because of Jug and Archie we now all get on"
"Don't forget to thank yourself. You were the first one out of us to become friends and date a Serpent" Ronnie says
"I guess your right"
"Took you a while" Pea comments taking his drink from Reggie earning a nudge off me
"Hey I was confused. I didn't want to wast that year with me and Reggie"
"Please can we not talk about that. I'd almost forgotten you used to..." Pea trails off in disgust then sips his drink. I laugh at him
"Dude at least your not the one who made one of the biggest mistakes by thinking with his dick not his heart. She's a keeper" Reggie points at Pea
"She sure is" Pea places his arm over my shoulders and leans down to me. I give him a quick kiss before going back to the conversation.
