Chapter 41- Manhunter Pt2

"What the hell is that?" I say looking at a blue tarp. I walk up to it to look
"Wait" Pea stops me from looking by placing his hand on mine, we hear the rumble of a motorbike. I look over to see it's Jug. Sweet Pea, Fangs and I walk over to him as he takes his helmet off
"Someone's sending us a message Jones" Pea says panicked as Jug gets off his bike
"What's the message?"
"Come on" I say as we walk through the trailer park over to the blue tarp
"You looked?"
"No not yet" I shake my head. Jug takes of the tarp and Joaquins dead underneath with the same symbol Archie has but this time on his head
"Joaquin" Jug whispers, I can't stop staring at him with my hand making it's way to my mouth. Jughead throws the tarp back over him. I hug Fangs and Pea
"I'm so sorry" I say knowing that they will be upset
"Who do you think did it?" Pea asks as Jug starts to walk away
"Uh.... I dunno. The gargoyle gang or Hiram Lodge. It could be anyone"
"That symbol on his forehead it's the same as Archie's" Fangs says
"Sacrifice. I have to get to Archie" Jug suddenly says and walks to his bike
"I'm coming with you" I tell Jug
"No, no you stay here"
"Jughead, he is my brother, I'm coming with you"
"Ok" Jug sighs and I get on the back of his bike
"Stay safe" Pea kisses my forehead "I love you"
"Love you too. I'll be ok"

"Oh my god, Archie" I run towards Archie who's in the hospital with Kevin. Archie immediately hugs me "why aren't you at the bunker?" I ask
"Long story, but my wound got infected"
"Shit. Is it ok? are you ok?"
"I am now"
"Archie we have to go, get you out of here. You've still got a target on your back. Joaquin told us..."
"Joaquin? you've seen him?" Kevin frowns
"Yeah. He's part of the Gargoyle gang now, betrayed the Serpents" shit
"Archie we're going to Toledo"
"I'm coming with you"
"No Rory, you've got to stay here. Dad needs you here, Sweet Pea needs you here"
"But..."
"No buts. Archie's right, you've got to stay here" my eyes begin to tear
"I'll miss you arch"
"I'll miss you" Archie and I hug each other one last time "let me quickly write a note for dad" he says taking some paper and a pen from the side, he quickly writes something down and hands it to me before he takes off with Jughead
"I'll ring my dad to come and get us" Kevin sadly says taking out his phone. Once he puts it down Kevin gives me a hug "you ok?"
"No"
In no time at all both Kevin's and my dad walk into the hospital. Kevin runs up to his and I run to mine
"You alright" Tom asks both of us
"Yeah" Kevin replies for us
"Where's Archie? Is he..."
"He's ok Mr Andrews but..."
"But?"
"Dad he's gone" i sniffle "he left this note" I hand it to dad who takes it from me and turns around while he's reading it
"Ok. Erm Aurora, let's go home" dad folds the note up and places it in pocket
"See you later Kev"
"See you Rory"
When we arrive home Pea is sat outside my front door on the steps
"Rory where have you been? Jughead text to say he was leaving, I thought you were as well when you didn't answer your phone"
"Sorry"
"I'll erm leave you two to talk" dad says walking into the house
"What's wrong? is it Archie? is he ok?"
"He's fine, but he's left. He left with Jughead. Gone to Toledo"
"Come here" Pea pulls me into a hug and just lets me cry on him "he'll be ok with Jughead"
"I know. Who's going to lead the Serpents now?"
"Me I guess. Unless FP comes back" Pea shrugs
"It's gonna be weird at school tomorrow"
"It will" Pea sighs
"You want to come in for something to eat?"
"Sure" Pea kisses the top of my head before we get up and walk into the house.
