Chapter 49- Fire Walk With Me Pt1

"What's the update of the home front B?" Veronica asks Betty as we're all sat in the student lounge. I'm cuddled into Sweet Pea's side with my head resting on his shoulder while he's playing with the frays on my ripped jeans
"My moms still trying to sell then house. I'm sabotaging her, but it's only a matter of time before she finds a ghoul who wants to live in a death house" Kev and group of Farmies walk into the lounge
"Hey Kev" I wave at him but I'm completely ignored "ok, that was weird"
"What's with him?" Archie asks spinning a basket ball in his hand
"The Farm. They got to him too. And up next, my house"
"Well my offer still stands. I know my trailer is cramped, but you could stay with me"
"You're always welcome at the Pembrook B"
"Yeah or our place" I nod to Archie
"Yeah. I mean I've already got a homeless kid sleeping in the garage"
"You what?!" I shout wide eyed looking at my brother "and when we're you going to tell me? does dad know?"
"No, his names Ricky. He ran away from a group home. I found him squatting at the gym"
"Sounds like me sophomore year" Jughead sighs
"Guys he has a branding on his arm. The same one the warden gave me. He says he's a sacrifice"
"Is he playing G&G?" Betty asks frowning
"I don't know"
"Thank god you stopped playing" I place my hand on Pea's knee "where is he now? at home still?"
"No, I left him at Pops for the day"
"Arch maybe you should call Mrs Weiss? we know her, we know she'd find him a good family" Betty shrugs. Archie sighs and agrees asking for Betty to send him her number
"Betty can I ask why you dislike The Farm so much?"
"I swear it's a cult Rory, my mom nearly drowned, but didn't see anything wrong with it"
"What?" Veronica exclaims
"Yeah and she wants me to join but somethings going on, I just don't know what"
"Well the Evelyn gives me the creeps" I shudder thinking of the very few interactions I've had with her. Kevin walks passed us again and out of the door making Betty jump to her feet and running after him
"Hey Kev wait up"
"Sweet Pea, Rory we have a Serpent meeting" Jug sighs getting up.

We arrive in our usual classroom and sit down, I sit in a seat in front of a desk and Pea sits on said desk with our hands interlocked
"Alright Serpents let's get right to it" Jughead says leaning on the teachers desk "any of you guys no about the break in to the chemistry lab?... Kurtz what are you smiling about?" the new member sits behind us smiling to himself
"Just thinking about how looting the alchemist lair was one of our more rewarding quests"
"Fuck sake still playing G&G?" I question rolling my eyes
"Are you serious? you did that as part of your G&G game?" I can see the anger in Jugheads face as he gets up and walks over to Kurtz "you realise Weatherbees gunning for us now right moron?"
"You promised us immunity"
"Not when you do and flagrantly break the law! your going to return that equipment"
"The hell I am"
"You freaking fizzle rock junkie" Fangs snaps
"You wanna go right now?" Fangs then shoots out of his seat, Pea doing the same, but he holds Fangs back "don't think we've forgotten about you spying on the Gargoyles. I should have beaten you with a branding iron when I had the chance"
"That's enough!" I shout getting up
"You don't tell me what to do. Your not the Serpent queen. Unless your cheating on tall guy here?"
"Alright! back down all of you!" Jughead yells making me jump. I've never heard him shout like that before "whatever bad blood existed between the Serpents and Gargoyles, it's over. We're all Serpents now" Pea and I go back to how we were sitting before as Jughead returns to leaning on the front desk "you know I think it's high time our newer members learned about the laws. Repeat after me. In unity there is strength"
"In unity there is strength" all of us Serpents repeat, but none of the Gargoyles say anything
"I can't hear you Kurtz. You wanna try again?"
"I play a different set of rules"
"Then your out the gang" Kurtz gets up and slowly walks over to Jughead
"You came to me remember? your mother came to me. Invited us into the Serpents and looking around you need us more than we need you. So if your rescinding what you promised us, then you better come up with something better to offer, before we decide to throw you guys out of our gang"

"I hate him" I sigh setting down Fangs and Sweet Pea some food at Pops
"I know, I don't think any of us like him all that much babe" Pea takes a sip of his shake when the bell rings. In walks my brother looking for something or someone then it hits me the boy, Ricky
"You ok Arch?" frowning "if your looking for Ricky I haven't seen any boy since starting my shift sorry"
"A group of thugs came by" Pop says walking over to the counter "they saw him through the window started banging on the glass"
"Oh no"
"Never seen someone run so fast into the kitchen then out the back door"
"What about the thugs?"
"Circled around took off after him. He left something behind. He'd been drawing on a placemat"
"What do you mean?" I ask frowning
"Drawing what?" Pea now asks curiously. Pops bends down to pick up the placemat that was under the counter top. Pea, Fangs and I gather around with Archie to look at what he drew
"Holy shit. That's the Gargoyle king right?" I gasp
"I'll ring Betty see if Mrs Weiss can come over" I nod my head
"I'll get you a drink, what do you want?"
"I'll have a strawberry shake" I smile knowing that my brother has returned.
