Chapter 46- The Red Dahlia

A few nights ago Jug, Fangs, Pea and FP went on a Gargoyle king mission while I stayed trying to help Archie. The Gargoyle king is Tall Boy, well I should say was because Fangs killed Tall Boy and Pea is an accomplice to murder, fan-fucking-tastic. Also Hiram is in hospital after someone's tried to kill him! Today was the SATs which Archie walked out of, he and Veronica spilt up because Reggie accidentally told him about what happened while Archie was gone. Tonight Jug is throwing a party
"We're freaking out dude" Pea says to Jughead
"Just keep it together guys ok? It was an accident. As far as anyone knows Tall Boy's been exiled. I exiled him"
"I know I'm probably not meant to know what's happened, but I do because Pea rang me freaking out. And while I'm slightly nervous we have dealt with this before with Betty and her mom right?"
"Right" Jug nods to me
"Ok so Pea and I are going to make out like would normally do and Fangs grab a drink" Jug jumps on the hood of a car
"Serpents. Listen up. We have a lot to celebrate tonight. We finally unmasked our foe, the Gargoyle king, Hiram Lodge the man in black is down for the count" the group erupt in cheers "and tonight we welcome back one of our own, Fangs Fogarty" every starts cheering once again and chanting 'Serpents'
suddenly we see flashing lights and sirens
"Shit" I breath out and Jug jumps off the car
"God, man, they know about Tall Boy" Fangs freaks out
"Chill Fangs we don't know that. Just calm down" I say. We watch as the door opens and I'm guessing the new sheriff walks out with his head down walking up to Jug, Pea, Fangs and I. Finally he lifts up his head and smiles
"Dad?" Jug question
"It's sheriff Jones now boy. Listen up" FP yells as Fangs looks instantly relieved "your looking at the new law in riverdale" everyone starts cheering
"See your going to be fine" I breathe out a sigh of relief "we're all going to be ok"

"What's going on son?" dad asks pouring a cup of coffee for me and him "is it your breakup with Veronica?"
"No dad it's not... I've been thinking" Archie sighs while I take a sip of my coffee "maybe college isn't for me. Maybe I can work with you in the construction company again"
"Well there's no shame in hard work, son, but where's all of this coming from?"
"Yeah, I thought you would go to college to study music or football. You haven't got guitar out for a while"
"After the crap I've see these last few months, I just want to get out of my head, work with my hands, try to make peace with things"
"Well if your serious about it, you better get your butt in gear. Shift starts in about an hour" dad places his hand on Archie's shoulder before taking his cup of coffee out of the kitchen with him
"Well Arch you best go change those clothes. Don't want to ruin them do you?"
"And what are you doing today?"
"I'm going on a date with Sweet Pea" I smile
"Your always with him"
"And you weren't always with Veronica? Arch I'm a Serpent so yeah I'm with him a lot because of that. Why don't you come over to Tent City after your shift?"
"I'm good Rory" Archie snaps
"Ok it was only a question" I drink the rest of my coffee before meeting Pea at Sweetwater River. I greet Pea with a kiss
"Well hello to you too" he smiles at me
"So what's the plan for today then?"
"I though as the weather is so nice today we could take a dip in the water?"
"Pea, I haven't brought anything to change into" i whine
"That's ok, you can just wear your underwear" Pea smirks while placing both of his hands on either side of my face "that's what I'm doing"
"Fine" I groan unable to resist my handsome boyfriend. I take of my clothes, Pea doing the same and we jump into the river together. I wrap my arms around Pea's neck and he wraps his around my waist "I miss me and you coming here with Fangs and Toni"
"I know, so do I"
"I know I didn't grow up on the Southside, but weirdly I miss it. Not the Ghoulies of course, but the Whrym, the trailer park, movie nights at yours or Toni's"
"I miss all of that as well. Things were good between all of us, we were a family, I'll never forget the day I first met you. Fangs really had the hots for you" Pea says making me laugh
"Oh I know" I now place my hands on Sweet Peas checks "but I only wanted you"
"Even when you were with Reggie?"
"Deep down yes. It was always you Pea" I kiss Pea on the lips
"I love you Rory"
"I love you Sweet Pea"

The next day I find out that Hermione Lodge is having an affair with Sherif Minetta! but it was FP who shot Hiram. Dad and Archie also had a huge argument because of Archie's behaviour recently. Why can't things just be normal for once!
