you were sitting down with pepper watching cartoons laughing at the characters funny action not even understanding the context or what they were saying. pepper didn't mind watching you as you were a pretty chill kid in headspace. pepper did her work and attended meetings while you where distracted. she made sure the tv was connected to your headphones so the rest of the people in the meeting didn't get distracted or raised any questions or queries about the 'famous pepper pots having a secret kid' you made small noises hear and there but mostly you left pepper alone not wanting to leave your gaze of the TV.
after 4 hours of watching tv and having a quick 2 hour nap pepper picks you up and cradles you close you didn't even realize your headspace/age dropped and you felt like a newborn. you rarely went into a newborn age only being in it twice ever (not including when you were an actual newborn) pepper started cooing and bouncing you as you head flopped onto your shoulder drooling and closing your eyes. she placed you on the couch getting a photo of you and putting it in the 'smol y/n baby time' album. she knew that newborns didn't have full control of themselves so she asked javis if you had any emergency stuff for when you were a newborn. but got told the answer she didn't want. pepper sighed and picked you up and places pillows around so you would not fall while she got some stuff.
after she went online shopping buying some stuff for you javis spoke up scaring you and her, you jumped and started crying from shock pepper picked you up cradling you to comfort you. she was not mad at javis as he had no choice but she did tell him to replay the message he got told to send which was that tony needed her for a bit. she sighed and asked javis to ask tony if it was important and if so can she bring y/n with her, which a minute later javis spoke up and said "sir said that it is important and that if you can not bring y/n in" she sighed and said "javis y/n is quite young and i don't want to leave him alone at this age, anything could happen." javis didn't reply but what did happen was the elevator binged and a upset looking peter and a mad looking tony came through. startling pepper a bit but that shock turned to worry when she saw peter was clearly crying or had been crying.
"peter whats wrong?" pepper asked bouncing a now tired and nearly asleep you in her arms, tony turned to peter and asked pepper "could you please hand y/n to peter and i will talk to you alone its no good tho.." tony said his tone mixing with a lot of different bad emotions. pepper did what tony said and handed y/n to peter and the 2 adults left to go talk in peter their room. pepper felt this talk will be a hard talk but she had no choice. once they arrived tony shut the door and looked down and said "pepper, may is not coming back anytime soon. she was offered the job at the place and she doesn't want to bring y/n and peter over. she just turned so mean and cold and now has cut off contact! what did they do or what did we do? why is she turning so mean?" tony said sadly. pepper has never said so much emotions from tony all at once. she was shocked and angry "damn it may!" she said picking up her phone calling may hoping she didn't block her. to her surprise she picked up and said "what pepper. what do you want" pepper felt she was on fire with rage
"YOU CANT JUST ABANDON YOUR ONLY FAMILY LEFT! Y/N NEEDS YOU HE WILL BREAK DOWN WITHOUT YOU NEXT TO HIM!" pepper yelled straight into the phone glad that the rooms are sound proof. may didn't know what to say "I- I cant take care of them while I'm working 20 hour sifts a day i barely made time to call you guys for Christmas, this will make me more money and i am happy in this job!" may said back desperately trying to get them to understand her thinking. but pepper knew better and pressed the end call button, making sure to block mays number. she was shocked at the sudden change. tony was almost at tears, she knew how much tony loved peter and y/n so she went and hugged him thinking of what to do. from the sudden contact pepper he broke, he snapped and he cried and cried he didn't know why he was crying from them. tony looked down at pepper and said "what are we meant to do now?" pepper already had an idea she knew tony would agree to.
"since may does not want them we can fly over to LA and we can get custody of them and adopt them? I love y/n and peter as much as you do and i would love to grow them up with you as our kids?" pepper said quietly. tony just stopped for a second and looked up shocked. he was a smart man but he couldn't think of that idea, i guess he was in shock he gasped and nodded "w-why didn't i think of that before!" he said in amaze. "this is going so quickly i feel a bit weird it feels to quick pepper!" tony sat down and broke down again, he was so overwhelmed and he didn't get a lot of sleep only staying awake from javis and coffee.
"tony, please get some sleep i will look after y/n and peter. i also went online shopping for y/n and got some stuff for him" pepper said looking sympathetic at tony. tony nods and gets up and goes and gets into bed basically falling asleep as his head hit the pillow. pepper just gives a small chuckle and walks out ready to face a peter and a small minded y/n
