You step out into the garden to find two boys waiting for you by the pool. The girls follow you, but hang back at a distance. You hear the boys cheering, and that drowns out the sound of your pounding heartbeat in your ears.

"Hey, boys," you call, grinning. You strut across the garden and flip your dark hair behind your shoulders. "You guys look good."
"Glad you think so, but you're the one looking tasty,"
"Yeah, any boy would be punching with you, honey."
You take great effort not to roll your eyes; instead, you offer them flirty smiles.
"Cute," you say. "I'm MC. Two letters."
"Alright, darlin. MC. I like it," the shorter boy grins. "I'm Alfie. You seem like a total vibe and I reckon we're gonna have a laugh."
"Just a laugh?"
"Well, hopefully a bit more, too," says Alfie, beaming.
"Hey, MC," the taller, bright blonde offers. "My name's Eddie. And you are my absolute type on paper."
"I saw some factor 50 by the daybeds if ya wanna lay it on any thicker?" Alfie laughs.
"Just being real, bro," says Eddie, and his brow furrows as he looks away from you.
"Just winding you up, Eddie, mate!"
"Is it just you two?" you interject, looking off, into the distance. You shield the sun from your eyes with your palm.
On cue, another boy swaggers out. You recognize him immediately.
