- AMAYA'S POV -

"WHERE WERE YOU all this time?" When I enter my house and my mother's voice can be heard, my eyes roll back.

I just said goodbye to Jess after leaving the dance studio, but my mother doesn't need to be informed about everything I've done.

I answered hastily, "The library," since I just want to be in my room and fall asleep whilst coping with all of my problems.

My eyes stray to the top of the wide staircase as she scoffs, shaking her head, "I don't know why you would waste your time at a library."

Sora and Hiro are probably already dozing off, or they're just sitting in their rooms.

I bring my shoulders up and shrug at her words, "Well, I was given a task and I'm simply following it."

"Does the boy trust you?" My mother asks, a cold gaze appearing on her face.

"Yes. He's starting to," I pull off my shoes with a sigh, my hair still in a ponytail from when I was at the dance studio.

"Okay," She hums, "Don't screw this up, Amaya."

When she once more expresses uncertainty in me, my jaw clenches and my hands form fists as I slightly lift my brows.

"I never screw things up. You do," I quickly move past her since I already know how this will turn out if I allow her to respond.

I slowly shake my head and walk over to the stairs, rushing up there while gliding my hand over the handrail.

My eyes caught Hiro's door being open, meaning that he is in fact not sleeping.

I approach his door and knock lightly even though it is already open. When I see Hiro seated in front of his piano with a music sheet in hand, I lean against the doorframe with my hands crossed over my chest.

"You okay?" He turns to face me as I speak, nodding. "I was just having a short look at the music sheet again," I hum as he explains.

"How did the plan go?" Hiro asks, putting away all his things before turning his attention towards me, "Good, I think. He doesn't suspect a thing," I mumble, feeling that my eyes want to close.

My bed would feel really good right now.

"Don't you like, feel bad for him?" I don't need to guess to know that he's talking about Adams and I shake my head, "Why would I feel bad for him?"
