Just a heads up for everyone that doesn't know; This book plays around the year 2027 😭🤞🏼

I hated and loved writing this chapter at the same time, I guess you'll see why.

Spam the comments for me since those give me a sudden motivation boost to write more ;)

- AMAYA'S POV -

AS SOON AS we get out of the van, I call out for my two siblings since we took turns changing into different clothes inside, "Hiro, Sora."

My mother is standing in front of the enormous home with her arms crossed over her chest when my gaze falls on her, and her glare makes me want to bury myself in the earth.

However, I choose to observe as Hiro and Sora exit the vehicle. As soon as they focus on our mother, I urge them, "Get inside and go to your room, alright?"

I sigh, while they flash me knowing looks, "Just go inside," They sigh quietly when I reassure them and then start to head in the direction of the house.

When I stand in front of my mother, I watch them as they pass our mother and enter the house.

"You haven't answered my texts or calls," She speaks up and I nod slowly.

"I was too busy," I mutter, maintaining eye contact with hers while she scowls, "Of course you were. Too busy screwing that Adams boy?"

When she mentions him, my jaw clenches, and my blood starts to boil as she grins at me. It is risky to display any emotion in front of my mother. Extremely dangerous.

"You're going to be the boss of my clan, Amaya. I can't have you acting like you lost your goddamn mind," As my mother continues, I scoff out loud.

"As if you did not create a literal psychopath. I already lost my mind." I blurt out something I quickly come to regret and when she just smiles when I demonstrate whatever point she was trying to make.

"You really always find a way to anger me," She sighs, shaking her head.

"Tsudzukeru," My eyebrows furrow in astonishment as my mother increases her voice before I feel two guys grabbing both of my arms with their hands.

"What is this?" I wrench my hands away from the two strong men, but they hold onto me and my mind becomes blank.

I feel my heart slowing and pounding at the same time while my throat tightens, I can feel my thoughts starting to think back to the worst day of my life. When I feel some unidentified men's hands on my skin once more, I start to lose what little remaining mental clarity I had.

While I am still trying to free my arms, unsuccessfully, my mother shakes her head, "Son'na chūmokuwoatsumeru hito,"
