- AMAYA'S POV-
Adams tilted his head to the side as he spoke, and I blinked, attempting to understand.
A trip with Adams. That is interesting.
"I am always up for an adventure but are you sure you should be doing things today?" I nod in acceptance but question him, directing my gaze to the cut on his stomach that was hidden underneath his black t-shirt.
His muscular arms, which are visible through the shirt and might make a people love the ground he walked on-not me. I never kneel down before a man.
"Is that concern I hear in your voice, love?" My lips start to open in response to his smirk, but I keep quiet.
Love.
He just called me love.
"In your dreams, Adams." I chuckle and straighten myself before taking one of the helmets from his grasp.
"Elijah told me you could drive this thing," Adams changes the topic as he runs his hand over the motorcycle.
In response to his remarks, I nod, "I can but," I pause mid-sentence and grin at him, "I will let your drive it since you are such a gentleman,"
He chuckles and shakes his head in response to what I say before I put the helmet over my head and he does as well.
"Do not get us in an accident because that would be embarrassing for you," I warn him, and I observe him scoff.
He frowns, "Why for me? You would be embarrassed too,"
"Oh no, I would not. I would stand up even though I would be in severe pain and leave you there," I inform him while smiling, then make a gesture for him to get on the motorcycle.
This might appear to be a bluff to someone else, but it is not. My mother taught me that the moment you showed vulnerability, the situation is over for you.
She once aimed a gun at me, aiming for my upper thigh. She merely gave a fuck if it may have immobilized me and did not care.
Her gaze remained fixed on me, and I was able to interpret the way she looked at me. I understood that the look meant, 'Don't you dare fall on the ground'.
Even though blood was cascading down one of my legs, she wanted me to be strong and I could not let her see any traces of weakness. Even after I fractured a bone.
