- ROWAN'S POV -

I watch as the anonymous person approaches me, holding a gun at me.

She is The Silent Killer. The majority of people thought it was a man, but after dragging my eyes over her figure, I discover that she is not a man.

She gestures for me to stay silent by shaking her head as I observe her move her hand to her silver mask.

I frown at her since I have never actually seen The Silent Killer; I have only heard about her. So why the fuck is she here, then?

"I know who you are," I glare at her while I whisper, "They call you The Silent Killer, right? Is it because you do not talk?"

I can just make out her familiar hazel eyes as the only thing I can see.

"Why the fuck are you here," The way I cuss sounded more ominous than I intended. She is now interrupting my mission, which I do not appreciate when it occurs.

She cocked her head to the side, not giving me time to take in my surroundings before she pulled out her dagger and cut my stomach with a single movement.

I merely made a faint groan. I have experienced far more agony than this, so it is bearable. The sound of glass breaking fills my ears as she points her gun towards a window in the room and fires.

She makes a run for it, jumping right out the window as my hand flies to my stomach, and I frown.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

A door is unlocked, I hear people rushing up the stairs, and Nadia suddenly appears at the door frame of the room I'm in.

"What the hell happened?" Alex and Ivy arrive behind her as Nadia gasps, "Someone fucking locked me up!" Ivy remarks angrily before her eyes dart to my stomach.

"Alex," Ivy calls out, "Call that one friend of his- Mason, right? Yes, now."

They do not let me finish speaking before Alex grabs his phone and Ivy approaches, so I had to remove my hand away from the cut.

"It is nothing. Just a cut," I sigh, and Ivy turns her glaring eyes in my direction.

"It can get infected, idiot," Nadia shakes her head, and Alex groans, "He is not picking up,"

"What? Mason? Not picking up?" I scoff at his words. It is not possible. Mason even calls back while he is performing surgery. Okay, that was a lie. But he still fucking picks up all the time.
