Dubble update 🤍.

Somewhere in this chapter it mentions Amaya's favorite song on the piano, I imagine it to be Church by Chase Atlantic but if you have a better song, feel free to search it up on youtube to visualize it better (piano version)

- AMAYA'S POV -

WHEN MY PHONE dings and a message appears on the screen, I look down at my phone that is resting on the library table.

I pick up my phone and swipe across the screen to find that he has texted me.

Adams

Hey, how are you doing? I just wanted to ask you if you are free right now. Maybe you'd like to meet?

Hi, I'm doing good. I would love to. I'm at the library right now, where should we meet?

Do not worry about that. I'll be there in a minute.

My eyes return to Jessica and Elijah, who are behind the counter, while I groan and switch off my phone.

Perhaps Eli is right. Maybe therapy will improve me. It's worth a shot.

"Jess, I will leave early today," I move toward her and Elijah while calling for her and placing my phone in my pockets.

Jess furrows her brow in surprise at my early leave. I always spend a very, very long time at the library.

"Why? Do you have something special?" Jess questions in curiosity, a smirk on her lips.

"No, not really. I'm only going to hang out with Adams," As soon as I finish speaking, both son and mother gasp and gaze at me as if I had just hacked off someone's head in front of them.

"Not special?!" Elijah gasps, "How do you call that again, mom?" He mumbles.

I hear Jessica whisper, "A date." And my eyes instantly widen, shaking my head.

"You're going on a date!" I turn around to make sure that Adams has not yet arrived as Elijah raises his voice.

"Men and women can be friends, Eli," I tell him and he rolls his eyes, telling me that he of course already knows that with his body language.

"But he doesn't look at you as a friend," Jess shrugs and I glare at her, tilting my head to the side.

"Yeah, you even said that he was your key to-," Elijah gives me an angry look when I gently put my hand in front of his mouth to suppress his voice.
