Just as Friends? Part 2 (Appealshipping w/some others)

"Are you ready Dawn?! The boys are almost here!" Misty yelled out, scrambling to give herself a last minute makeup touch-up.

"Almost Mist!" Dawn yelled back, finally getting the corset of her dress over herself and combing out her hair. She had very simple make-up on and her hair was in a ponytail like she usually wore in her contests.

"Dawn, help me with May's hair." Misty called, and Dawn rushed to help. 

May was trying to go for a hair down look, which she looked stunning in, but she was sincerely regretting having put hair glitter spray in, which made her hair really sticky now. Misty had managed smoothe it out, but now it was tangled. Together though, and with a bit of hair spray, Misty and Dawn managed to make it look great again, and you couldn't even tell what a mess it was earlier.

"There ya go May, you look beautiful!" Dawn chirped happily, admiring her and Misty's work.

"Thank you so much ladies, I don't know what I would've done without you! Now let's get going, I think Drew and Ash are waiting for us." May said, getting up carefully, not wanting to crease her dress.

"Dawn you said Zoey was going to meet you at the venue right?" Misty asked Dawn.

"Yeah, she's staying at a hotel in Azalea Town so she got her own ride there." Dawn informed her friends.

"Great. Let's get going"

The three girls made their way downstairs into the lobby. There, Ash and Drew were waiting for them, looking quite handsome in the summer starlight. Ash wore a black tuxedo and Drew sported a dark blue one. They were both grateful that the darkness of the night obscured their blushing faces.

"Hey guys! You all look great!" Ash said cheerfully, a smile on his face, though it was clear he was referring mostly to the girl in a blue dress. 

"Ash stop ogling Misty, you have plenty of time for that later." May said playfully, fully aware of Drew's eyes on her.

Ash blushed furiously, muttering something along the lines of "not ogling her" and everyone laughed.

"Ladies we should get outside, we might be late and we don't want to keep Zoey waiting." Drew said, looking at his watch.

"Oh yeah speaking of which, how are we getting there?" May asked sweat dropping.

"You seriously don't know how we're getting there May? You tie that bandana on too tight, good thing you're taking a break from it" Drew said incredulously as May laughed nervously.

"You know I have a learner's permit. And I have a car. Can you connect the dots from there airhead?" Drew teased.

"Don't you call me that! Anyways that's great, let's get going then." May said taking Drew and Dawn by their hands and leading them into the parking lot. Drew blushed at this gesture, something that was not missed by Misty and Dawn. Ash and Misty followed them.

They piled into the car, May calling shotgun and thus leaving Dawn, Misty, and Ash in the back. Dawn made sure that Misty was in the middle, hoping there would be a sharp turn where she could lightly push Misty into Ash. They all had a fun car ride, laughing at Misty and Ash's banter, and at times, May and Drew's. Though this made Dawn happy for her friends, it made her feel somewhat lonely. Her two female friends had (soon to be) partners that really cared about them and made them laugh and just were made for each other. She ached for a relationship like the ones Misty and May had.

Dawn shook the thought from her head and talked with her friends until the car pulled into the venue parking lot. It was clearly usually meant to be a wedding venue, making everyone blush. The outside had been adorned with replicas of ribbons from around the world, though it was mostly decorated with Johto ribbons. As they walked out the parking lot, Dawn spotted a certain Coordinator scrolling on her Poketch. Dawn's heart rose at the sight of her in her green contest outfit. She briskly walked up to her.
