Moon furiously mashed the mixture together. 

C'mon Moon, do this for Wishiwashi, for Sun.

Sun looked anxiously at the girl, cradling his Wishiwashi, Quarter's head in his arms. It had been badly hurt earlier. He had labored breathing and was struggling to keep his eyes open.

"C'mon Moon, please hurry it." Sun pleaded, his voice quavering.

"I'm sorry, just one more second... There!" Moon exclaimed triumphantly. She immediately gave the medicinal mixture to Sun who had a look of great relief and poured it down his Pokemon's throat. His breathing almost instantly slowed and returned to normal and he opened his eyes, looking alert and only slightly tired.

"Wow, thank Arceus you're okay! Take a good long rest" Sun said, returning the Pokemon to his Pokeball.

Moon started putting her stuff away when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her, startling the girl. 

"Sun!" she exclaimed.

"Moon, thank you so much."

"You really shouldn't be thanking me. Wishiwashi got hurt because of me. You guys were trying to protect me from that Ursaring that popped out. You shouldn't have Sun."

"How could we not?? I would never leave a lady in need like that!" Sun said, taken aback that Moon even considered the fact that he should leave her to her own defenses. 

"That's nice and all, but you really  need to think about self preservation Sun. If not for you, for your Pokemon. No one should get hurt over someone else" 

 Sun looked at the girl incredulously, looking for a hint that what she said was a joke or something, but there was only seriousness in her face.

"Moon, I don't know how things work wherever you're from or how you were raised or whatever. I do know though, that the way things work here is that we help everyone who needs it, small or big. And when someone needs help like you did back there, we jump in immediately and worry about everything later. Would you ever leave a little girl in need?"

"I guess not, but that diff-"

"Its not different. No one's life is worth more than anyone else's. There's no reason why I should draw the line at helping small children and older folks. We don't trade lives."

Moon was taken aback by his passion, enough to ignore the throbbing pain in her side. Sun really wanted to drill his words into her head. And a small part of him wanted her to get how much he cared for her. He would help anyone in need, but when it came to Moon, he had to admit, he would probably go as far as to take a Hyper Beam for her.

"I suppose you're right. Thank you Sun. You're really amazing" Moon said simply, blushing lightly at the last few words she spoke.

"Its nothing! I just want to make sure you know there are so many people on this island who love and care for you! As it should be!" Sun said, a light blush on his cheeks as well.

They looked at each other for a moment, simply getting lost in each other's eyes. Then Sun saw the blood slowly seeping through Moon's shirt.

"Arceus Moon! What happened??! You need a hospital" Sun yelled in cocern, getting himself off the ground quickly.

"Sun! It's fine for now! Take it easy, we'll walk to a hospital right now, just calm down" Moon said, slightly taken aback by the boy's concern. 

"No way! You're in no condition to walk! No if ands or buts Moon!" Sun said, suddenly gently taking Moon by the shoulders, steadying her, and then scooping her up in his arms.

"Sun!" she squealed, red creeping into her cheeks more by the second. 

"Remember what I said? Now don't talk, you don't want to make your wound worse" Sun said briskly, walking to the nearest hospital.

This is kinda nice Moon thought to herself, letting her relax in Sun's surprisingly strong, warm arms.

That night, they spent it together at a Pokemon Center room. Moon watched Sun sleep on the bottom bunk, his round face illuminated by the moonlight. She thought of everything they had been through together and smiled, finally believing Sun's words earlier. She settled into her bed, comforted by the tranquility that night bought and slowly drifted to sleep.

(A/N): Hey another chapter!!!!So So sorry for not doing my usual daily update. Real talk here, its kinda hard to write right now for me.I have zero motivation bc no one has left comments (as of the time of writing this) and wattpad says i only have one dedicated reader :( I never imagined how hard it would be to be a fanfic writer, pouring time and effort into these stories and having it get zero tractionand not even getting the privilege of interacting with my readers.  But i gotta stay strong lol cuz this is truly a passion of mine  and ive always wanted to do this, so ill stick it thru! Even if i only have one dedicated reader, ill persevere for that person. BTW thx so much to everyone of you who reads this! I love seeing my story view number go up lolz. SOrry that this chapter is super short btw, I hoenstly made this up was i went with it. I think this is probs the worst one ive written so far, might delete it honestly :( Anyways enough of my rambling.
