"So if you think he really likes you, go for it! You can't go your whole life not making a move because you're too scared to. You could be missing the greatest relationship of your life!" A tall, slender girl advised a shorter, stout trainer.
"Well, I guess you're right, and you sound like you speak from experience. One last thing. Where should we go?" The younger of the two asked the older girl.
"Duh, it's pretty obvious" she told her teasingly. "The Nimbasa City Festival ends tonight, meaning there's going to be a fireworks show. And of course, you can't miss the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel, our famous couples-only Ferris Wheel!"
"Oh you're right! I'm so dumb, I forgot about the festival! Thanks a million Hilda!" Rosa gushed, hugging her tightly, catching Hilda by surprise, before she hugged the younger girl back.
"Oh not at all Rosie. You're like the little sister I've always wanted!" Hilda said affectionately to her, using her nickname for the younger girl. "Now c'mon, lets go get your outfit sorted out."
Once Hilda got Rosa ready for her date with Curtis, with a outfit of her own clothes, and she saw her off, she turned back into her living room, intending to read the books she brought from Sinnoh. Her mom, though, as moms usually do, had other plans for her daughter.
"Oh Hilda, why don't you go on with Rosa?! You've been holed up here ever since you returned! Loosen up and have some fun!" her mom encouraged the girl.
"Mom, you know that Festival is a romantic thing. I'm not doing that, and I don't wanna third wheel Rosa and Curtis' date. I promise I'll get out sometime this week, but not tonight Ma" she tiredly told her mom, wishing she would drop the subject of her isolation since her return to her home.
"Well, not to worry, I have it all solved. Hilda, I'm worried about you sweetheart. So I arranged for your favorite person to share this beautiful night with you! I believe you rode that Ferris wheel with him while you were still adventuring here!" her mom gushed with a wink when she said the last part, practically skipping towards the door.
Hilda knew what awaited her as soon as the words escaped her mother's mouth. She felt herself get lightheaded as she processed all the thoughts and emotions that hit her like a wave.
"Here he is!" her mom announced like a tv show host as she ceremoniously opened the door to reveal an insanely tall, skinny, green-haired man. His eyes scanned the room looking for Hilda of course, though he offered a polite greeting to her mother.
"Hello ma'am, I hope you're well." He said simply to the short woman.
"N it's so great to see you!! I haven't seen you since... well since you and my daughter took off." she gushed, enveloping the much taller man in a bone-crushing hug, which, to her surprise, he reciprocated.
"Ma, let him breathe." Hilda sighed, getting increasingly annoyed and tired of her other's antics.
"N!!! You've changed so much. If I had hugged you before, you would've froze up! Its so wonderful that you understand non-verbal communication better!" she exclaimed.
N and Hilda exchanged knowing looks and she looked away, a blush on her cheeks as she did. This was missed by her mother, who was still fussing over N's arrival.
"Any a ways, Hilda go on upstairs and change into something more fitting for the Nimbasa Festival!" her mother commanded her. Normally, Hilda would've rebelled against her mother forcing her into something she so clearly didn't want to do, but the tone of her mom's voice left no room for arguing.
She trudged upstairs and huffily opened up her wardrobe. She expected layer of dust to attack her, but nothing came. Of course her mom had opened it and probably went through it and organized it and all that.
