You're the one drug that I don't want to get clean from

Is it too soon to say that I'm falling?

I can't get off of you

Clean - Pale Waves

Aria

The adrenalin from shooting tonight's concert was still coursing through my veins. I would be living off this high for the next couple of hours until I crashed. Music was always something so near and dear to my heart. I got so lucky I made a career combining my passions of music and photography together.

"They were killer!" Fellow photographer and friend Diana walked into the room with a smile. We started to put away our gear as the other two photographers filed into the room. They had hired a large group of us tonight since it seemed like the artist was going to use our stuff for lots of promo. "I've never heard of them before but I am in love!"

"I know they were so good. I'll be downloading their music asap." I agreed.

"They were okay," Erin scoffed out. She hated to come do rock gigs like this so it wasn't shocking that she wasn't happy. Erin and her brother, Sam, were the other two on the team tonight and ironically not my biggest fans.

They are dead set that I only get my gigs because of nepotism. A long while ago, they approached Carissa and asked them to be their agent but she denied them. I had mentioned how they treated me and she refused to help them. I thought when you got out of high school you should be done with the petty bullies like them but sadly that wasn't the case.

Erin was just snotty and rude to me. She felt like the typical high school mean girl from a movie. I kinda felt sad for her truthfully since she was still acting like that in her mid 20s. Still, I would choose her over her brother any day. Sam was something else. He was obsessed with me and I felt like that was putting it lightly. For years, he has been following me around, hitting on me and begging me to go out with him. No matter how many times I turn him down he claims to have some "ownership" of me. I make sure never to be alone with him.

So, caught up in putting away my stuff, I missed knocking on the door. "Can I help you?" Eric spoke in an overly sweet voice. I had to hold back the gag that was threatening to make an appearance. I'm assuming whoever is at the door is attractive in her eyes if she's speaking like that.

"No, I've actually found what I'm looking for."

I could recognize that voice anywhere. My face lit up when I saw the tall, blonde Australian in the door. Without thinking I took off across the room and jumped into his arms. Both of our laughter filled the otherwise quiet room. "What are you doing here?" He set me down but didn't remove his hands from my waist. It felt so right to be in his embrace. "Wait, how did you know where I was?" He raised his hands in mock surrender.

"Your Agent told me where to find you and I came to get you. I have a surprise for you!" His smile lit up the otherwise dim room. "Get your things, we have a party to get to." I raised an eyebrow at him which he just copied.

"And who the hell are you?" Sam spoke with his arms crossed. "Authorized personnel only back here dude." I rolled my eyes at his arrogant tone. Quickly I rushed back to finish packing up my gear so I could get out of here.

"When the hell were you going to tell me you are dating Luke Hemmings?" Diana whispered in my ear.

"We aren't dating D. I'll explain later, it's a bit complicated." I whispered back, fumbling to get everything put away.
