But I'll build a house out of the mess

And all the broken pieces

I'll make up for all of your tears

I'll give you the best years

The energy of tonight's show was absolutely electric. It's been a month since the interview and things have been going so well. I was surprised by how much support that I got from the fans. Of course, there were still many people who didn't like me but there were actually a lot who did.

Tonight, we were in Chicago and it just so happened to be Luke's birthday. He got a little choked up when the crowd sang him happy birthday. I'll admit that I got a little teary eyed as well. Knowing that so many people love him and wanted to make sure he had a great birthday made me so happy.

After the show, all of us were going out to celebrate the birthday boy. I was nervous to give him his gifts. I know he's already seen the blue lingerie set and he loved it. The photoshoot I did with Diana that day turned out way better than I thought. I've never felt like I've looked sexy before but those photos changed my mind. I can only hope that Luke likes them too.

"Are you almost done dear?" Luke yelled from outside the bathroom door.

Thankfully since we weren't leaving until the morning, we got a hotel room for the night. Trying to share the small tour bus bathroom is rather difficult. I slipped on a burgundy slip dress that fell to my knees with a slit up one side. Crystal had helped me pull my hair back and played with my makeup. She was being rather vague on what all was happening tonight but she was insistent that I looked good tonight.

Taking one last deep breath only to lose it again when I saw him. Luke was leaning against the doorframe in a button up that matched the color of my dress and far too many buttons undone. His eyes darkened slightly as he took me in. I gasped when his hands made their way to my hips before pulling me flush against him. My hands landed on his chest, the skin under them burning.

"You look absolutely stunning my darling." He leaned down to capture my lips. The kiss was soft and yet full of such passion. I slid my tongue along his bottom lip which caused him to groan. "As much as I really wish I could take that pretty little dress off you angel, we have a party to get to."

"Do we have to go?" I knew I was being selfish in saying I want to stay here with him. My mind was swirling with desire. I was itching to reach out and unbutton the last few pesky ones that were holding his shirt together.

"It would be rather rude for the special guests to skip their party, now wouldn't it?" This was a birthday party for Luke and I to be fair so it would be rather rude not to go. Part of me still wanted to stay but I was also excited for this. Every year since we met, Luke and I had a joint birthday party so this was bringing back such nostalgia. He leaned back down to capture my lips one last time. "Before we go, I want to give you your gift."

I almost whined from the lack of contact as he went to grab something from his bag. He handed me a velvet blue box with a smile. "Happy birthday my beautiful angel." When I opened the little box, tears were brought to my eyes. Inside laid a beautiful silver necklace with red gems on it. The pendant was shaped like a wing, an angel wing. "I have a matching one." Luke pulled the chain that was hidden beneath his shirt. "Now I will always have my angel with me even if you can't be right by my side."
