jaemin sat down next to jeno as he finished doing all the the house hold. he also cleaned jeno's bedroom because of how untidy it was.

"eat this...", the younger says giving him a pill and a glass of water. jeno took the glass from his hand and gulped the medicine down his throat.
 
"you didn't tell to mom about our...", jaemin paused for a second as he watched jeno shook his head as a no.  
 
once again the ravenette laid down on the bed, it's been two days since jeno got sick and jaemin left a day before the other one got ill.
 
jaemin covered the older one with a blanket and laid next to him silently. the pinkette turned to face his husband, he gazed at him with sadness in his eyes. jaemin regretted going away from him, jeno seemed so weak, so fragile, perhaps he didn't take care of him at all while the pinkette was gone.

jeno glanced at the boy in front of him but he ignored him and lowered his eyes. the younger one soon started to ruffle the other's hair, due to which the ravenette closed his eyes. he didn't react arrogantly which was totally unexpected, he looked calm instead.
 
jaemin moved more closer to the other one, he pressed his chest to the ravenette and caressed his back. yet jeno didn't react anyway. the silence was killing the younger one, he quickly came up with a question, almost whispering to jeno, "you could've called me..."
 
he looked deeply into jaemin's eyes and replied softly, "but y-you hate...me", jeno couldn't speak well due to the sore throat but the younger one understood everything even though the words couldn't come out properly. he talked in a whisper to not hurt his throat more because of the tonsil.   
 
"i don't hate you... i just hate that you're dating karina..", jaemin pulled away from jeno's gaze which made him feel weak.
  
he quavered in a low tone due to the sickness, "is.. i-it possible to... love and.. hate someone and not... k-know what you're.. actually doing?"
  
"yes it is... and more likely it's hate... not love", once again jaemin shifted closer to jeno and ruffled the other's hair.
  
"no... it's hard to hate him... and hard to love him", jeno breathed out.

jaemin couldn't reply to the ravenette, he looked so dull at the movement and that was breaking jaemin's heart, it was all because of him.
 
"why did i have to leave him before?... why couldn't i be with him when he needed me?"
 
"that time... did you love him?..", the pinkette drew circles on the ravenette's back to comfort him.
 
"yeah... but i lost him"
 
"shhh", jaemin urged, he pulled jeno's face closer to his and gazed into his eyes, "he loved to be with you too, he loved to play with you, he loved each and everything about you... and the day you left this country... he was waiting for you in front your house jeno... but you never came, he needed you the most jeno. he had no one except you." the younger one took his hand off of the ravenette's face and laced it through his hair.
  
"i'm so sorry...", jeno whispered.
 
jaemin pecked his forehead, "he's with you and this time you won't lose him okay?"
 
jeno just nodded lazily and let the pinkette hug him. he buried his face into jaemin's chest, "all i thought that time was.. maybe one day we'll meet again and i would be able to tell you how i felt..."
  
"then your wish came true", jaemin smiled with tears as he patted on jeno's back.
 
"jeno... e-ever since you left... they bullied me.. karina, haewon and the others.. they recorded me.. and that day... someone texted me... saying that they'll send that video to mom.... ", he said holding back his tears. "s-so ... i had t-to go... away from.. you".
 
jeno looked up to find the boy staring back at him while the tears rolled down from jaemin's eyes, "why didn't...you tell this to me before?..."
  
"i thought y-you would...leave me too like everyone else... and hate me.. even more after watching.. that", he sniffed.
 
"jaemin... you're hurting me baby.. am i that cruel?" the older one wrapped his arms around jaemin and let him shed tears on his shoulder.
 
"y-you were! t-that's why i didn't.. t-tell you.. don't want to lose you.. i-i'm sorry.."
 
jeno pulled away from jaemin just to look in his eyes, he brought his hands together and cupped his cheek while wiping his tears away from his thumbs, "you have me now and i'm not leaving you this time."
 
the pinkette gulped, "i almost forgot you... i'm sorry.. i never thought that i'd meet you again... i couldn't recognize you even when we first met in your company... nor did i believe mrs lee.. because you changed so much.. from a nerd to one of the most famous company owner", he smiled wiping his tears away.
  
"you grew up so well too i couldn't recognize you either... but you're a sweetheart just like before", jeno smiled and kissed the boy's cheek.
 
the pinkette giggled, "i became a brat."

jeno agreed.
  
"why did you started dating karina?" jaemin pouted and flicked the ravenette's forehead.
 
"i was just distracting myself from you... didn't know we'll end up getting married like this..."
 
"i'm sorry... i shouldn't have did this to you just for money...", the younger one lowered his face. he couldn't look at jeno but he knew that the ravenette was only looking at him.
 
"maybe i shouldn't have rejected you for the job either", jeno ruffled the other one's hair and took the boy closer to him.
   
"jeno... i know it's hard for you to fall in love with me again since you have karina... but in future... if you ever find yourself ... to be in a position to fall in love again... fall in love with me", he faked a smile, jaemin was deeply in love with jeno but he regretted how everything started.
  
jeno couldn't reply to him. he knew that the pinkette was faking his smile. his heart couldn't see how broken jaemin looked, he slowly took the boy into an embrace, jeno glanced at the pinkette in his arms who was now crying silently. "you're still the most precious person to me", he says planting a kiss on jaemin's forehead.

jaemin smiles and kisses the other's cheek, "you s-should sleep now... y-you're sick right?.."

jeno nodded and pressed his forehead against jaemin's face, he gently wiped the younger's tears. the pinkette kissed his head and pulled up the sheet to cover jeno and himself.

the night was just so sweet for the two, even though jaemin thought that jeno might treat him like a servant again but he was just so different today. perhaps the ravenette missed him alot. the two of them were relieved after talking about the past. how odd that they met again but not in the form of friends but lovers, now maybe this leads to a better future for them. jaemin finally came to know about what mrs lee said when she told him to take care of jeno, even if he's hurt he won't ever share his feelings to anyone.
 
jaemin was only nine when his parents left him alone in their house and never came back, he lived with his grandmother for sometime but unfortunately she passed away when he was twelve. and that time jeno helped him, the two used to go to each other's house. mrs lee was always busy due to her model lifestyle so she never really paid attention to jeno's friend. that time the ravenette shared everything with jaemin, he even invited him to dinner helped him to study. but one day jeno disappeared from jaemin's life, the pinkette came to know that the neighbors are selling their home to someone. jaemin was always depressed, he was in grief pain for a while. jaemin wanted to know about his friend at all cost, he was curious to know about jeno so one day the pinkette decided to knock on their neighbor's door. it was haewon who stepped out of the door, but the only information she had about jeno was that he left this country, she wasn't aware of anything else rather than that which disappointed the younger one even more.
 
soon jaemin stopped thinking about his friend, he started to work in a cafe to earn for living.

after several years jaemin tried to apply for the famous makeup brand. he totally forgot jeno and but the other one didn't. jaemin knew he had a friend once but forgot his face and every small thing related to him. everything started since that day when haewon recommended the pinkette about the company, even though it wasn't on purpose, she forgot about jaemin's lost best friend too or she just wanted to hide it. and once again they are together.
