Chapter 6 - Get in here lion
*****

"So yeah that's pretty much it..." Fortune finished off telling Eyeball about everything that had happened during the past year.

From how their father had moved back to their hometown in Florida to how her and her brothers had completely taken over the circus and made it the success they did.

She even told him about how everything happened with Julien. How they weren't an actual couple, or even dating, it just kinda happened. Multiple times.

Eyeball was about to respond but Ace stirred and grumbled above them.

Eyeball gave him a massive nudge as Ace groaned once more and rolled off the pair. He quickly grabbed Fortune and yanked her up with him before Ace could roll back to them.

"Thanks for that." She mumbled as she brushed her top down, looking out the window as the sun was slowly beginning to rise.

"It's cool, sorry about-" Eyeball started but stopped as he gestured down to Ace, who had returned to snoring loudly.

"It's fine." Fortune laughed. "I gotta-"

"Go back to Mr Flame Feeder?" Eyeball forced a laugh out.

Fortune shook her head. "I told you it's not like that."

Eyeball nodded. "I know I know." He mumbled.

"Tell him I said bye?" She asked as she slowly walked towards the door.

Eyeball quickly nodded and ran a hand through his hair.

"If he even remembers that is." She forced another laugh as she gave him a small smile and left again.

Eyeball sighed as he watched her leave. He stood quietly as he heard her go downstairs and leave.

Slowly he walked to the window as he watched her heading back towards the circus.

He sighed again as he turned back to the passed out Ace.

"Sorry buddy." He mumbled before running over and jumping straight onto the bed right next to Ace's head.

"ACE! ACE! ACE! AC-"

A fist went straight into his knee causing him to buckle and crash land on the bed.

"Bit fucking rude." Eyeball grumbled as he sat up and began smacking his best friend's half asleep, half awake face.
