Chapter 18 - I'm tired
*****

Fortune opened her eyes as she looked around. She wasn't in her trailer or near the circus. She was in Ace's room, in his bed.

Sitting up slowly, she looked around but he wasn't there. Pulling the blanket off her she saw she was still in her dress from the night before.

She grumbled to herself as she got up and cautiously walked out of the room. She heard voices as she made her way down the stairs carefully.

Walking into the living room she was almost crushed by two arms being wrapped around her.

"Bloody hell Titch," Hunter mumbled as he squeezed her slightly before letting her go. "Wanna tell us what happened last night?"

She looked around and saw Ace, Eyeball and Hayden all sat waiting for an explanation.

Yet as she opened her mouth to speak, no words came out. They all stared at her expectantly as she continued to struggle with what to say.

"I'm going back upstairs." She finally managed to say.

The four guys watched in amazement as she just turned and walked out. Hayden and Hunter's heads snapped to Ace instantly.

"Find out what's going on." Hayden fired his order at him.

Ace looked baffled between the two. "What makes you think she'll tell me?"

They exchanged a look before turning back to him.

"She will." Hunter pleaded. "Just find out what the hell has got into her."

Ace could hardly say no. Eyeball let them out with the promise she'd be back that evening as Ace stood behind him.

"What the fuck do I do?!" Ace quietly snapped at Eyeball, completely unsure with what to say to her.

Eyeball shrugged slightly. "Try talking to the girl? Usually a good start."

Ace glared at him.

"Don't worry I'm going and I won't interrupt!" Eyeball held his hands up as he went to open the door again.

"That will be a first." Ace grumbled as Eyeball just laughed, leaving.

Ace locked the door as he went straight upstairs and into his room.

Fortune had already gotten back into his bed as she lay on her side, with her back facing him.
