It was nearing the end of December, Daisy and Adam had been taking turns celebrating Hanukkah with each other's families, and enjoying the holiday, as well as the giving and receiving of gifts that came with it. Yesterday, Daisy's parents had given her and Adam a pair of movie tickets, and a gift card to Berryflies' restaurant so the two could go on a date tonight.

"Brrr, it's brutal out tonight," Daisy said, feeling the breeze blow through the car door that Adam opened for her to step out of.

She locked her arm with Adam's, and the pair began to walk from Adam's car towards the theater. The wind was nipping at the two squirrels as they approached the door, even their puffy winter coats did little to shield them from the bitter cold. They nestled in closer to each other and sped up until they were inside. Daisy shivered before speaking.

"I heard that this Titanium movie is brilliant," she said.

"Y-yeah," Adam stuttered, still recovering from the windchill, "It was so nice of your parents to get us the tickets."

Adam led Daisy up to the ticketbooth and the employee took their ticket stubs and directed them which theater to go to. They walked down the hallway until they reached the correct door, inside, they saw nearly every seat was filled.

"Woah, there are a lot of teenage girls here.." Adam whispered, "What's the demographic of this film again?"

"Hehehe," Daisy giggled quietly, "you say that if I wasn't also a teenage girl up until last month. Besides, don't kid yourself, you loooove romance movies, too."

"Fair point, fair point," he said as the couple found their seats.

As the trailers played, the few remaining seats that were left in the theater had filled up as well, then the movie finally began. Daisy cuddled up against Adam as the movie played on. Adam blushed and smiled at the warmth of her cheek against him. Even having been friends with her for half their lives, and dating her for the past four years. He still felt so blessed to know her, and especially to call her his.

Hours passed and the movie concluded, with tears filling the theater, Adam could only think of one thing. Just like the movie taught, life never is guaranteed, and love is so precious. Adam knew what he had to do.
