The day of Daisy's Sweet Sixteen was rapidly approaching and was now only three days away. Adam had been fighting with himself over what to do ever since he realized his concert was on the same day.

"Ughhhh..." He groaned as he paced back and forth in his bedroom that night, he looked down at the ticket in his hand.

"What do I do..." He sighed.

Seeing Furvana was something he had wanted to do for years. He was finally old enough and he finally saved up his own money for it. Adam figured Daisy would understand if he said he wasn't able to go to her party after all. But, on the other hand, he really didn't want to disappoint her, as his feelings for her still remained strong as ever. He felt so stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"She'll get it..." He reasoned, "She knows how much I love Furvana, I can just be sure to make it up to her... But what if she's upset? Or cries? I don't wanna upset her that I picked a concert over her once in a lifetime event..."

He put his hands on his face and fell back on his bed, sighing on the way down.

"I don't knowwwww..."

He wasn't sure what he wanted to do, but time was ticking and he wasn't sure if he was even gonna be able to choose.

A few days later, it was November 18th, and Adam woke up that day still as indecisive as he had been all month. He rested his head against the window on the way to school that morning, gazing off into space as he thought.

"So," Cathy said, breaking the silence next to him, "You make your choice yet? Today's the day dude."

"Ugh, I dunnoooo..." He moaned, "I wanna go to BOTH!"

"Well, that's not really an option," she said, "Look, I doubt she'll hold it against you if you went to the concert, since you had that planned first... But you did say you'd be there already so..."

Adam looked at Cathy with a frustrated expression.

"Plus, going would get you some major points with her I'm sure."

"You aren't making this decision any easier..." He sighed.

"Well, whatever you pick, she'll still be your friend," Cathy said, "But I'm pretty sure you know what you want to do more."

Adam remained silent and turned his head back to facing out the window.

After school that day, Adam arrived home, where his mom was as usual.

"Hi, sweetie," she said, "You ready to head to the city?"

"Uhhh..." He hesitated, "Actually Mom, I... I have a different plan... Can you take me to the party hall a few blocks away?"

"Thanks, Mom," Adam said as he hopped out of the car in front of the party hall, an envelope in his hand. He still had some money left over, so he bought a card and put what he had left in it for her. He figured she'd be happy with that.

"Have fun, honey," his mom said, "I'm sure she'll appreciate you being here."

As his mom pulled away, Adam ran up to the front doors of the building and scurried inside. Many of the other individuals there he did not know, since he really only knew Daisy and her parents. He felt a tap on his shoulder.

"So, you decided to come, eh?" Melissa said, "Now I owe Cath five bucks..."

"You showed up just in time," Cathy said.

"Had to stop and get a card on my way," Adam said, "Where's Daisy?"

"She's going to make a grand entrance in a minute," Mel said, "this is your third sweet sixteen this year, man don't you know the drill by now?"
