We have been trying to come up with a plan for the last three days. We can never agree. Jax wants an army of people at our side and I say we go in alone. I say use me as a distraction. He says he can be a distraction. In the end, we still have a half-ass plan and hoping for a lot of luck on our side.

Theo showed up early this morning despite both our warnings to stay away. The only thing we could agree on was for Theo to stay home and be safe. But we both lost that argument. Now I worry even more. If he dies it's another person dead because of me.

We decide to start working on a plan together. Three brains have to be better than two. Plus Theo can help with making the end decision. As we work on our plan we drink cocktails and talk about our childhood.

"Back home we only go to school up to age twelve. Then we get a job or help our parents." Theo says and I'm absolutely jealous.

"Lucky you. Humans have about twelve years of schooling. Most graduate at the age of eighteen. It's terrible. I hated it. Such a waste of my time. Think off all the vampires I could have been killing." I laugh and Jax and Theo join In.

"What you didn't need was more time to kill. You're an expert at it already." Jax compliments me and I blush.

"Thanks. You're actually the first vampire to compliment my skills." I slur as I take another drink. I am very drunk now.

Jax wraps an arm around my waist to help steady me. We are all sitting outside on an old brown leather couch. The firepit is lit and we are watching the peaceful fire glow.

"Love I'm the only vampire you let live remember? I don't think the others would compliment you with a stake going through their heart." He explains with a grin on his face.

"Yeah, Swift why didn't you kill him? Not that I'm complaining. We're best buddies now right Jax?"

"Right Theo. You're the little brother I always wanted." Jax tells Theo with such adoration in his eyes.

I burb loudly interrupting the brotherly moment. "Why didn't I kill him?" I pause trying to remember. "Oh yeah. He was just so handsome. His gray eyes and his wavy brown hair. Plus I didn't know he was a vampire. He is so human-like. Now I know why. His dad is the vampire king." I ramble and Jax puts his hand on my thigh squeezing it.

"Yeah, how come you never told us, Jax?" Theo asks curiously causing Jax to look uncomfortable.

"I didn't want you guys treating me any different. After I was turned everyone called me the vampire prince. At first, I liked it but then I realized the trouble that came along with it. Fake friends, lots of enemies. I decided to step away from my family and make my own name. That's why Vlad hates me. He compelled me to forget where the Royal palace is so I would never return. Not like I wanted to go back."

"Wow, you're so brave, like Swift." Theo blurts out and Jax rubs his shoulder against mine and smiles at me.

"So tell me how was life in a royal palace vampire prince?" I tease and Theo giggles.

"It sucked at first. A human living with supernaturals. Dad, I mean Vlad kept it hidden as much as possible. He only drank blood from a cup so I wouldn't know. But despite his kindness back then I was lonely. I didn't have friends."

Jax looks so sad I kiss his cheek. "I didn't have many friends either growing up. Maybe that's why we found each other. So neither of us will be lonely again." I tell him.

I go to kiss his cheek again but his hand slides onto my face caressing it. "I'm so happy I found you love. I can't lose you too. Promise me you won't give up. You won't let them take you. I can't live without you."

"I promise." I whisper back to him and his lips find mine in a deep passionate kiss. Our tongues collide and I hear Theo get up.

"I'll leave you two alone. Don't scare the wildlife." Theo tells us and I hear his footsteps go farther away.

"Make love to me Jax. In case tomorrow is our last day. I want one more night with you."

He doesn't answer me. He grabs me by my hand and carries me to my bedroom.
