Chapter 2

We get to the shopping centre, go into a few shops; and take a look at some of the dresses there. Out of all the shops we went to, I only found two dresses that looked alright to wear to an evening meal. The first one was a peach colour, and it was a flowy type of dress, it was strapless and it had a material made flower on the belt thing. The second one was also a flowy dress, it was red with flower print, a belt thing on the waist and it was also strapless. I ended up choosing the red one.

We went to a few more shops and picked out outfits to wear for the party that's at the beginning of the holidays, there is just 2 more weeks of sixth form, before the Easter holidays. We picked out some casual clothes and some bikinis as it was going to be a pool party. I chose a vintage styled bikini, which was dark blue, with loads of white dots printed on the material, the bottoms were high waisted with a thin red belt on the waist. The top of the bikini was like a normal one, and had a red bow in the middle.

We finished shopping, we walked to my house and had lunch. We decided to go to the cinemas and watch a film. Whatever was on. We payed for our tickets and sat down in our seats. The lights dimmed down till the room became pitch black. The film began, and as it did, Robin pulled out her phone and nudged Teddy, who nudged me, and I nudged Brooke, we all look towards Robin, kinda pissed, for ruining the suspense of the movie, when she blinded us with the bright light from her phone. There was a text, that read:

'Hey, how are you? I'm stuck babysitting, keep me sane? Neil'

Everyone was silent, the only thing that was making any noise, was the film. I responded to the text with a 'seriously' face. "You blind us to show us that some guy is baby sitting, I mean seriously?" I whisper shout.

This resulted for the people in front of us to turn around get blinded from the phone's light and give us glares. Robin mouths 'Sorry' to all of us. Then quickly texts back and puts her phone into her pocket.

Throughout the movie, she was pulling her phone out every so often, till I pulled it out of her hands, switched it off, mouthed an apology, then dropped it into my pocket. The film ended, lights dimmed back on, and the people around us all looked at Robin and gave us all death stares. Like people, chill ya tits, she wasn't talking, nor was she eating popcorn like the beast two rows down.

We left the cinemas at 3pm. We walk home, I pull out Robin's phone from my pocket, hand it back to her, and she glares at me.

I reply with "The scary people in front of us would've ripped your head off, so I practically saved your life. I deserve a 'thank you', and you don't want to seem clingy, do you?" She sighed and nodded.

My phone rings, Teddy was holding it at the time,  she picks it up. She talks:

"Mila's phone, who wants her?"

Even though the phone isn't on loudspeaker, Teddy boosts up the volume, so I can sort of make out who it was. The person on the other side replies with "It's Dixon, where is she?"

"She's busy, it's Teddy, by the way, should I pass on a message?"

"Teddy bear!" She rolls her eyes at this "Dixie bear, how are you?"

"I'm great, you?"

"Same old, same old. Why did you ring for?"

"Feeling the love. Just tell Mila to ring me, tell her that it's about the meal tonight"

"Is it bad news?" I mouth to her to tell him.

"Nah.. Nah... Sorta... Maybe" he sighs "Yeah"

"What's happened?" Teddy asks as she puts the phones volume down, so only she can hear, this annoys me, so I glare at her.

She rolls her eyes and carries on walking. We stop near the road as we wait for the green man to come on, as we wait, I can sort of make out the words 'reservation', 'forgot' and 'different restaurant'. I suss it out, and come to the conclusion that my boyfriend has forgotten to make a reservation.

Teddy then, gives a name of a restaurant, then pauses, then says how she's been to that place before. Then pauses again, agrees to Dixon, promises something, then hangs up. We come to my house. We all watch TV in the living room for a bit and I call Dixon:

"Hey baby"

"Hi Dix, why did you call earlier?"

"I want to go to a different restaurant for tonight, I asked one of the guys that went to the restaurant that opened up, and they said the food wasn't that good. So he suggested another place, and I've made a reservation" He pauses "Is that okay?"

"Course baby, what time is the reservation?"

"At 6, I'll chill with the guys till then, and I'll pick you up, after I go home and get dressed"

"Okay, love you, bye"

"Love you too, bye"

As I hang up, Brooke comes downstairs with a pair of my white heels, she asks if she can lend a pair of heels from me, she says how Julian is taking her out tomorrow, I say that she can, she then places the ones she wants into one of her bags, tells me she needs to go, hugs all of us, then leaves. Julian is Brooke's boyfriend, they've been together for 2 months, he has brown hair and brown eyes. I am left with Teddy and Robin. I tell Teddy the conclusion I came up with, but she says nothing. Her Mum comes to pick her up, she takes her bags, hugs us then slids into her Mum's car. Robin says she's going to meet up with Neil, and then says that she said he's coming over to my house. I gave her, a 'what?' look. She says that he lives round here, and says that she said she was chilling with me.

Robin has makes herself at home, switches the TV on and opened a bag of Doritos. I sit down next to her on the couch, and when I go to open a can of Pepsi, the doorbell rings. I get up, and walk towards the door, Ryan's obviously forgotten his keys. I open the door to be looking at a guy who isn't my brother, he was average height with short blonde hair, blue eyes, and was dressed in a plain white t-shirts and a pair of light blue jeans.

He smiled, and asked who I was, "Hi, I'm Neil, you are?"

"Hi, I'm Mila."

"I'm looking for Robin, is she in?" As he asks, Robin comes out of the living room, and walks to the front door, Neil looks towards her, and smiles.

I turn towards Robin, wink at her, and walk back into the living room. She talks to Neil for a bit, before she sticks her head into the room, and tells me that she's going out, I smile at her, and tell her to be careful, she rolls her eyes and smiles, then shouts "Bye" as she closes the front door behind her.

It's 4pm now, meaning I had two hours to get ready. Ugghh, into the shower I go. I get out 15 minutes later, I use the hairdryer and dry my hair, then I used the curler to give my hair some natural curls. I then did my make up, quite subtle, put on a pair of earrings and get into my dress. By the time I finished it was 5:30, I got a text from Dixon saying:

'I hope your ready, I'm coming in a bit x'

I take my heels and go downstairs. I quickly put them on, and adjust my hair for the last time, before the doorbell rung. I open up the door to see Dixon dressed in a suit, he looked adorable. He smiled showing all his perfect white teeth, and pulled me into his arms for a hug. I wrap my arms around his neck, and I move my head back, I smile at him, and give him a quick kiss.

He whispers "You look beautiful" then gives a shy smile.

I can't help but "Awwwwhh" at him.

I tell he looks nice as well, and we walk towards the taxi, he opens the door for me, I slide in, shut my door, whilst he walks round to his side and sits beside me in the back, the driver starts the taxi, and we were off to have a meal marking our 1 year and 6 month anniversary.
