Chapter 12

School is finished for the day. I walk into the house and I get changed into something casual - a pair of skinnys, a top, vans and Alex's jacket which looks good with everything. I was going to the cinema's with the girls, we were going to watch 'G.I. Joe'. Mainly to drool over Channing Tatum.

We went to 'Pizza Hut' for dinner after the film. We talked about casual stuff. I told them about how I've been trying to talk to Alex; but his responses are either short or no response at all. I've been ignoring Dixon; he's been trying to talk to me though, but I really can't be arsed with his shit.

It's eight o'clock when I get to the front door. I open the door and walk in; I pop my head into the living room, Mum and Dad were watching TV. I make the formal announcement that I'm home; which made Mum call me into the living room. Mum tells me that her friend's son is in his room; and that I should go up and say hello to him and ask if he needs anything else.

So then I make my way up the stairs and head towards my room, seeing that the guest room is next door.

I knock on the guest room door.

"Come in." The person behind the door calls out.

I walk into the room. The guy was at the desk, scribbling something down.

"Hi." I say from the door.

He turns around. It was Alex.

"Mila." He says.

"Alex." I say in shock. He was Mum's friend's son."Anyways, Mum said if you want anything to let me or her know." I pause for him to say something, but he doesn't so I just say, "I'm going to go now." as I walk backwards out the door.

I walk into my room and whatsapp the girls telling them who is staying in my house for all of the holidays. They were as surprised as I was.

I hear Alex leave his room and go downstairs. Moments later Mum calls me to come downstairs. I walk to where Mum was.

"Yeah?" I ask her.

"Alex is in the sitting room, give him some company." She answers.

"I don't think he wants to talk to me." I tell her.

"Well try. Be nice and try." She says whilst pushing me through the corridor into the sitting room.

Alex was sitting on the right side of the sofa that was directly in front of the TV, I sit down on the left and watch whatever he put on. He was watching 'How I Met Your Mother'. I sit back and enjoy the many tales of 'Ted Mosby'. There was a bit where Barney was trying to get Ted to do something for him, he would persuade him by using one of his catchphrases. After Ted finished his sentence both me and Alex said "It's going to be legend wait-for-it dary!" in unison with Barney.

The doorbell rang, I got up to open the door. I pull open the door and standing in front of me was... Dixon. I shut the door on his face, but he keeps knocking on the door. I open it up again and give him a glare.

"What do you want?" I ask him.

"I'm sorry. Mila, I'm sorry." He says.

"Say what you want." I say whilst rolling my eyes, I start to shut the door, but he pushes it open and walks into the house.
