Chapter 13

I take in a deep breath.

Peyton starts talking, "Basically, yesterday I was at Kim's, just chilling. Then there was a knock on the door, and to my surprise it was Dixon. He had been beaten up, his face was really fucked up. Kim was really shocked and started to tend to his face. He told her everything that had happened. That her boyfriend, Alex was at yours, that he can't fight his own battles, and that Alex needs you to protect him. He then said that your brother tried to punch the shit out of him. He finished the whole thing saying that you two were over."

The last few sentences started to piss me off.

"Alex was protecting me and my brother definitely beated the shit out of him." I say.

With a confused expression she asks,"How come Alex was protecting you?" 

"Oh, the perfect boyfriend forgot to mention it. That fucking bastard slapped me." I spit.

Her jaw dropped. 

"Did you also know that that perfect boyfriend cheated on me as well?" I say.

Her eyes widen.

"Guess who with." I whisper. "Kim."

Her eyes widened as he jaw dropped again.

"As you're her friend, I'm sure you know some sort of reason as to why she hates me so God damn much." I say.

She collects herself. "She doesn't hate you."

"If it isn't full on hatred, what on earth is it?" Robin says.

"She envies you. She is basically the green-eyed monster of jealousy." Peyton replies.

"And what is it that she jealous of?" Robin says before I do.

"Mila, you're beautiful and smart. you have a loving Mum and Dad and a loving brother that protects you. You hav- had a perfect boyfriend that used to cherish you. You have three amazing friends, all beautiful and smart like yourself, that will always be there for you... However, Kim, she had loving parents and her 15 year old sister, that used to look up to her. Used to, because she made that sextape then a track. Like the song by 'OG Niki' saying how she fucked six guys on camera. Everyone had seen it, her parents were disgusted and ashamed. As for her little sister, she doesn't at Kim the same way anymore." Peyton finishes with a sigh.

"Damn." Robin says taking the word out of my dry mouth.

"Why did she do the song anyways?" I ask.

"Popularity." She sighs.

"Peyton. What are you doing talking to them?" Someone says.

Me and Robin look up whilst Peyton turns around. It was Kim. 

"Oh, fuck off Peyton, no one likes you." Robin says. 

Peyton clicks and replies, "No one likes you. Kim, let's go."

She gives us a smile, which we return, then leaves with Kim. 

"I just don't get why Dixon cheated on me." I say, putting my hands over my face.

"Just forget about it. He doesn't deserve you." She says whilst giving me a hug.

I sigh as I open up the book about the university options.
