Chapter 10
I show my phone screen to the girls they tell me to pick it up and pretend that I'm oblivious to what had happened last night.
"Hello?" I say as I put the phone to my ear.
"Hi sweetie, how are you?" Dixon asks as we sit down at a nearby bench. I put the volume up so the girls can hear.
"I'm good. You?"
"I'm alright. Ermm.. Did you pick my call up last night?" He asks with worry lining his voice.
"I didn't know you even called. I was asleep." I tell him the lie I came up with.
"Oh, okay." He says with relief in his voice.
"Why? Is there something you want to tell me?" Tears threaten at my eyes.
"Nope, I need to get ready, I'll see you at lunch?" He asks.
I look at the girls as I reply "Yeah, pick me up?"
"Okay." He sounded much calmer than he did when he called me.
I see Alex, I nudge Robin and point at him. Trying to hint something to her. She looks at me confused.
I talk into the phone "I'm at sixth form. Talk to you later. Bye"
I don't hang up. Robin clicked. "How's hottie Alex?" She asks loud enough for Dixon to hear through the phone.
"He's good. I'm going to his tonight" I reply as loud as Robin, then I press the end call button.
We walk into the sixth form and sit at one of the tables in the study area. I pull out the coursework that I did last night and finish the last question off. My phone pings, I quickly put it on silent before I open the text.
'Hey, I got stuck on the last question for coursework. Help? A x'
I reply saying that I would help. I was free first lesson, but I had to come in because of Alex. Alex walks in through main entrance. He was looking gorgeous as ever. He sees me and smiles. The bell rings, the girls say bye and go to their first lesson whilst Alex comes over and sits with me.
"Hey" I say as I give him the answer for the last question.
"Hi, how are you?" He asks whilst writing the answer down.
"I'm fine. You?" I reply.
"Same. I talked to Kim last night." He says.
"What did she say?" I ask.
"Being a bitch about me spending time with you. I kinda got pissed off with her and what she was saying, so I told her to fuck off." He replies.
"I see. When did you finish talking to her?" I ask curiously, it could be a different Kim.
"At quarter past eleven. Why?" He asks.
"Just wondering" I reply. It was ten minutes before the phone call.
"Right. Are you coming to mine after school?" He asks as he passes the sheets back.
"Yeah" I reply.
"Well is it okay if you don't tutor me now?" He asks.
"I got out of my bed at six. For you. So it's happening, sweetie" I reply as I bring out the chemistry book.
