Chapter 7

Robin comes back out and we walk to sixth form. Both fourth and last lesson dragged. It was fifteen minutes till the end of the school day. I remembered that I was going to Alex's house so I quickly pull out my phone under the table. I pull out the little bit of paper that Alex gave me with his number from my pocket. I type it into the 'To' box. And type in the text.

'Is the offer of a free ride still there?'

I tap send on the dimmed screen. I lift my head to see my teacher looking at me. I quickly pick my pen up and pretend I'm taking notes whilst putting my phone in between my thighs, making sure it doesn't make any noise. The teacher carries on about whatever they were on about. My phone vibrates against my thighs. I put my pen down as I slowly unlock my phone, making sure to check if the teacher is looking. I had a text from Alex.

'Yeah, I'll meet you in the study area?'

'Ok' I texted back.

When I looked up, the teacher was glaring at me. I gave them a small smile as I slid my phone into my bag with one hand and pretended to write notes with the other. The bell rang. I put my equipment into my back as I stand up and tuck in my seat. I walk over to my lockers and put my books into my bag. The girls come over, do the same and hug me before we go our ways. I walk to the study area, to see Alex sitting on the table, on his phone. He draws out a breath then lifts is head up. He gives me a smile as he straightens out. We both walk through the entrance to get outside.

The sky was grey and dark, it was going to rain. All I had was my cardigan, dress and the tights I am wearing to protect me. As soon as we step out, the sky erupts with rain. I look through my bag and find an umberella. YES! I quickly open it up and put it over both me and Alex. It wasn't windy meaning that my umberella wouldn't go inside out. Which is always a good sign. I start shivering like crazy, Alex takes off his jacket places it over my shoulders then puts his hand on my waist and pulls me close to him.We both wait in the car park for his Mum to get here. I turn to face Alex, I give the umberella to him to hold as I put my arms through the jacket. I didn't care how stupid I looked, but I zipped the jacket up over my cardigan and dress, I quickly pulled my hair into a ponytail and pulled the hood over my head. I pull the sleeves of the jacket so my hands are inside. The rain got heavier. Alex started to shiver and his teeth were chattering. I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him in for a hug as he held the umberella over us. It was the least I could do.

Alex puts his hand into his pocket and presses a few buttons before he puts it onto his ear. I pulled him closer, trying to keep him warm. I hear the ringing tone, then a woman saying hello.

"Hi Mum, where are you?" Alex says with his teeth chattering.

He pauses then says "Hurry up, we're waiting outside." Then hangs up.

He slides his phone back into his pocket as he wraps his left arm around my waist to keep us both warm. I rest my head on his firm chest. Suddenly, I feel someone pulling me from the back, digging their nails into my back. I was in the rain now, I turn around to see who was pulling me. Kim.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Kim screams at me.

I move back under the umberella that me and Alex shared. My back against his chest.

"Trying to stay dry" I comment.

She glares at me. She pulls me towards her again, grabbing me by Alex's jacket, I stood under the rain. I shake off her hold on me, and get under the umberella again.

She glares at me, once again. "Why the fuck are you wearing my boyfriend's jacket and letting him get ill?!" She shouts.

"Well.. I was keeping him warm before you came along" I say.

"Course you were, slut" She smirks.

I roll my eyes, turn towards Alex again who was smirking at me. I wrap my arms around him again and pull him close, he wraps the same arm around me as he did only moments ago. He rested his head on my shoulder and whispered in my ear.

"Kim is very jealous right now". I laugh.

"She looks like smoke is going to be coming out her ears" He says as he laughs, I laugh along with him.

A car horn sounds. We both jump in surprise and turn our head in the direction of the sound at the same time. Resulting our heads banging together. Ouch! I look up at Alex, he was smirking as he rubbed his head, I did the same. We both walked to his Mum's car, he opened up the passenger door for me, I quickly slid in as he closed the umberella and slid in after me. He put the wet umberella on the floor as he shivered in the car.

We got to his house shortly after. The rain had calmed down a bit. Alex picked up the umberella from the floor, opened the passenger door and slid out opening the umberella up, he closed the door he had just exited and came over to my side, he opened my door and waited for me to step out. I climbed out holding onto his hand, shutting the door behind me. He walks quickly to his front door and I follow him, we both leave his Mum to park. He puts his hand in his pocket, I hold the umberella as he unlocks and opens the door. He steps inside and holds the door open for me to follow him in. I step inside, he takes the umberella from me and disappears for a moment as I close the door. He comes back into sight as I awkwardly stand there, he smirks at me. I pull down the zip of his jacket as his Mum comes into the house.

"Alex, take her to the bathroom and find her something to get dressed into, out of them wet clothes" She says.

Alex walks up the stairs as his Mum prompts me to follow him. I walk up the stairs and follow him into a room. The room was a resonable size and not that messy. He open up the wardrobe and looked through some of the clothing. I guess this was his room. He pulls out retro styled jumper, he hands it over to me as I hand him his wet jacket. He gives it a disgusted look as he chucks it into a basket.

"You'll have to keep your tights on. Sorry" he says.

He points at the door in his room, I walk towards the door and walk into the bathroom. I quickly undress myself and slip into his jumper. I remembered that Teddy gave my jeans back, so I quickly walk back into the room and get down to my knees to open up my bag. I pull my jeans out, Alex was looking through his clothes. I walked back into the bathroom, took my wet tights off and slid into my skinny jeans.

I get out of the bathroom after making myself look presentable, I wiped make up that was running on my face. I had applied a layer of mascara and pulled my hair into a messy bun. I walk into Alex's room, he had just slid into a pair of red Hollister joggers. They hung loosely on his hips, his built torso was uncovered. He had a towel in his hand and had wipped his chest. His wet hair glistened from the lighting in the room.

He smirked at me then pulled a t-shirt over his head.
