Chapter 11

The bell rings indicating the end of the day, Alex meets me at the gates. I walk over to him with a smile, I give him a hug and we start to walk to his. A little after we got out the gates someone calls Alex's name. We both stop and turn in unison, Kim walks over to us.

"What?" Alex snaps at her.

"Ermm.." She replies.

I look around for someone to talk to. I see Jack.

"Won't be long." I say to both of them, mostly to Alex. He nods and Kim gives me a tight lipped smile.

I walk over to Jack and give him a hug, which he returns.

"Hey." He says.

"Hi" I say.

"Who you waiting for?" He asks.

"Alex, I'm tutoring him in chemistry, so I have to go to his house." I say pointing back towards where Alex was standing. "You?"

"Dad's picking me up. I heard Alex arguing with Kim at the end of first lesson." He says.

"What were they arguing about?" I ask curiously.

"I heard Kim telling him off for spending more time with you than her... And... Something about how she didn't mean to do something." He replies.

"Oh, I see." I say with a smile.

"How's things with Dixon?" He asks.

"Not bad." I reply.

"I'm here for you if you want to talk." He says, knowing that something was up.

"I know." I say with a smile.

He points towards a car, "Dad's here".

I give him a hug before he walks towards the car. I turn to see Alex standing behind me, he looked annoyed.

"What's up?" I ask him.

"I'm sick of her. I'm going to end it with her." He says.

I give him a hug to calm him, then we start walking to his.

I'm sitting on his sofa, with the chemistry book set out on the coffee table. Alex had a question:

'Define the term 'isotope'.'

I told Alex that the answer was 'An element that had the same number of neutrons but different number of protons'. However, Alex had wrote that 'An element that had the same number of protons but different number of neutrons'. I kept telling him that he was wrong but he kept saying that he was right. I picked up the chemistry book and moved my body so I was facing his side, with my back to the arm rest. I flick through the pages to find proof that he is wrong. But when I found the answer, I was wrong. I looked at Alex by peeking over the top of the book. He instanty knew he was right, he took the book out of my hands and read the answer. He looked at me and smirked.

"Admit it!" He says with that smirk.

"No!" I reply.

"I'm right! Say it!" He says.

I shake my head to say no. He pulls my legs from under me, so I was lying with my back down on the sofa. He got up with his knees on the sofa and placed his hands on either side of my waist. I knew where this was going so I tried to pull myself out of his hold. Which obviously failed. He tickled me, whilst I was laughing he kept telling me to admit that he was right. I kept screaming that I won't surrender whilst laughing.
