Chapter 9

I put the phone to my ear.

"Hello?"

For a reply I hear a girl moaning.

Confused, I check the screen. It was Dixon. I don't say anything. I just listen.

"Dixon" The girl moans.

He grunts in response. The girl moans some more then Dixon moans her name.

"Kim."

I hang up with a tear falling down my cheek. I go through my contacts and ring Brooke.

"Hello?" Brooke says after a few rings.

"Come to mine. Please" I say with a lump in my throat.

"What's wrong? Should I bring Teddy and Robin as well?" She asks with concern and worry in her voice.

"I'll explain when you all come over. Bye" I whisper before I hang up.

I sit up on my double bed with my pillow resting on the headboard. I switch my lamp on and text my Mum to come up. Instantly the door opens up. She walks over and sits down on the bed, pulling me into a hug as my tears fall from my eyes. I cry into her shoulder as she tries to calm me.

"The girls are coming over" I whisper as I pull away from Mum's hold.

"Ok. Should I bring you anything?" She asks.

"Dixon's cheating on me" I say as I start crying again.

She pulls me into a hug again and calms me. The doorbell rings, she pulls out of my hold and walks downstairs. I hear Mum talking to the girls and their response was shock. I guess Mum told them, I don't think I would be able to tell them without tearing up again, so I didn't really mind. Moments later I hear footsteps up the stairs and the girls come into my room, they all were wearing their pj's with their coats on top, I can't blame them, I told them to come over at 11:30 in the night. They all hug me and sit down on the bed next to me, our backs on the pillows that are resting on the headboard. Teddy gets up, switches the TV on and puts in a DVD whilst Mum comes in with two tubs of ice cream and four spoons. She kisses my forehead then leaves the room.

We spent Tuesday night eating ice cream and watching 'Mean Girls'. I love how the girls would do as much as they could to keep my mind off Dixon. But I could still hear him moaning Kim's name. I was thinking about telling the girls myself about the whole Dixon situation. But once the film ends Robin asks about Alex and tutoring him. I tell them all about everything that happened from when the school bell rang to now the present time - 2:53am. Including everything from holding Alex in my arms keeping both of us warm to the moaning of Dixon's name by Kim. They were in as much shock as I was. I was crying throughout explaining it to them. Mum walks into the room with a few bags, she places them next to my wardrobe.

"Girls, your clothes and stuff for sixth form are there" Mum says before she walks through the door to get out.

She pokes her head through the door before she shut it. "Mila? Are you alright sweetie?"

I nod at her before she closes the door. We all slide into the the bed, pulling the pillows down as well. Teddy switches the lamp off and we lie there in the dark.

"Should I confront him?" I ask the girls.

"Yes" Teddy and Brooke reply in sync.

"No" Robin says.

"What?" We ask in shock together.

"You should play him..." Robin replies like it was nothing. "...He hurt you bad. You should hit back harder. Both Kim and Dixon. It'll feel good. I promise."

"You've got a good thing going there, Robin" Brooke says. Teddy agrees with her.

"I dunno" I give as a response.

"Come on! It'll be great! You get to hurt him" Teddy says with enthusiasm and the last sentence in a sing song voice.

"Blow me away with the first plan and I might be in" I say being persuaded.

"Play dumb" Brooke replies.

"Get close to Alex" Teddy says.

"Which will lead you to making Dixon jealous" Robin ends.

"So, I pretend that I didn't know about the phone call." I say, the girls reply with 'Uh huh's. "Get close to Alex to make Dixon jealous, how?" I ask.

"Tutoring him"

"Having him over for no actual reason or go to his"

"Go to the cinemas together, shopping together, stuff like that" They all reply taking turns.

"Im in" I whisper to the girls as I begin to close my eyes. "I love you girls" I say before I fall asleep.

"Mila!" A voice shouts.

"Mila! Get up!" It was Brooke.

I get up out of the bed. It was 6am, I fell asleep at 3am. We only had 3 hours sleep, today is going to be difficult. I get into the shower and when I get back out the girls had got dressed and went downstairs. I quickly get dressed into the clothes I had ready yesterday, put some make up on, trying to hide the tears from yesterday and the tiredness. I pulled my hair up into a sleek ponytail and put some jewellery on. I grab my bag making sure that Alex's jacket was in there.

After what I would normally do in the morning, we grab our bags before we get out. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, the sun was shining and the tempreature was quite nice. We walk to school talking about Neil and Teddy's 'friend' Liam. Whilst we were walking my phone started ringing. I look at the screen. It was Dixon.
